The Managing General Agents’ Association (MGAA), the UK’s only not-for-profit organisation representing Managing General Agents (MGAs) across the UK and the Republic of Ireland, is excited to announce its strategic vision and mission for 2025. This milestone aligns with a refreshed brand identity and the launch of an updated website, underscoring the MGAA’s commitment to being the voice of advocacy in the MGA Sector and the leading platform for knowledge sharing in the sector.

With more than 430 members, the MGAA serves as a hub for knowledge sharing, networking, education, and high-level advocacy. Its full members represent over £15.1 billion of underwriting capacity, supported by 64 market practitioner members and 142 supplier members. In 2025, 1,580 users completed our MGA Assess web-based learning system, designed to help MGAs meet their training and compliance needs. As the MGA marketplace continues its sustainable growth, the MGAA is poised to amplify the value its members bring to the insurance industry, with 2025 as a milestone year in its development.

The MGAA’s refreshed mission embraces its role as an accessible, action-oriented, and collaborative resource for its members. Central to this mission is its focus on:

    • Networking and Education: Continuing to provide members with unique forums, events, and training opportunities to foster networking, industry knowledge and innovation underpinned by the appointment of a dedicated Learning & Development Manager.
    • High-Level Advocacy: Amplifying the voice of MGAs on critical industry issues, including regulatory challenges and market opportunities.
    • Data-Driven Insights: Becoming the leading aggregator of trends and statistics in the MGA sector.
