The Caravan and Motorhome Club’s Motorhome/Campervan Insurance policy is Expert rated 5 Star by Defaqto, which means it provides one of the most comprehensive policies in the market. It is the only 5 Star Defaqto rated cover of its kind in the country open to tourers of all ages. The Defaqto Star rating reflects the quality of a financial product, with each product rated on a scale of one to five stars, where 5 Stars is the highest rating.
Club members can now compare motorhome or campervan insurance benefits side by side with two other providers chosen from a drop-down menu of 21 motorhome or campervan insurance products.
The comparison also incorporates the Defaqto Benchmark, whereby levels for each feature have been analysed and set by Defaqto based on its extensive financial product database.

When comparing foreign use cover, the Caravan and Motorhome Club Motorhome or Campervan insurance policy provides cover for tourers to drive in the EU and associated countries for the full policy period of a year or 365 days. Following an insured incident, provided a tourer’s motorhome/campervan is repaired by one of its approved repairers, subject to availability, the Caravan and Motorhome Club will provide a courtesy car whilst the motorhome/campervan is being repaired.
The Caravan and Motorhome Club’s policy provides up to £5,000 for members’ clothing and personal belongings for loss or damage caused by an insured incident.
The Caravan and Motorhome Club also pay up to £1,000 towards the cost of changing locks on a member’s motorhome/campervan if the keys, lock transmitter or entry card for a keyless entry system, are lost. Cover also includes clothing, non-permanent fixtures, fittings, and baggage up to £5,000 plus up to £150 per night for 10 nights’ overnight accommodation if the vehicle becomes unusable in an accident.
