Yep, it’s Tuesday and IE is a day late with the appointments news. Had a lot of emails from Elon over the weekend to deal with…anyhoo, here’s the weekly Job Moves round-up;
SCHRODERS CAPITAL
Schroders Capital, the $97.3 billion private markets business of Schroders, announces the appointment of Vikram Bhandari to the newly-created role of Head and Chief Investment Officer (CIO) of Schroders Capital Solutions.
Vikram is based in London and reports to Ingo Heinen, Global Head of Business Development and Product.
As Head and CIO, Vikram will help drive business growth and lead Schroders Capital’s private markets solutions strategy and execution. The senior appointment reflects the firm’s client-centric approach and will further leverage its private markets solutions capabilities on a global scale.
PRICE FORBES
Price Forbes Re (PF Re) is pleased to announce the appointment of Sherman Power to the newly created role of Executive Vice President, Alternative Risk and Capital Solutions. Based in Dallas, Texas, he will report to Pat Rastiello, CEO Price Forbes Re, North America.
In his new role, Power will work closely with the treaty reinsurance team to provide growth capital and reserve covers in building PF Re’s reinsurance capacity for evolving and growing insurance markets. He brings almost three decades of experience in insurance and reinsurance, both in underwriting and broking, to PF Re.
Sherman joins from Aon Re, where he led the US structured solutions team and served as global head of innovation, Capital Advisory. Prior to that, he led the Regional & Large Structured Solutions team for Swiss Re US. He has also during his career held numerous senior roles and managed a variety of teams across multiple business classes.
TURKIYE
Price Forbes has announced the appointment of Ali Arısoy as Chief Broking Officer of Price Forbes Türkiye.
Arısoy brings 15 years of experience in reinsurance which will be a great contribution to Price Forbes Türkiye. Arisoy began his career as a Project Manager for a global EPC company, overseeing the construction, planning, and operations of several industrial-scale power plants. With his technical background, he played an instrumental role in establishing VHV Reasürans, the first Turkish FDI reinsurer. During his tenure at VHV Reasürans, he held various leadership positions and played a key role in developing the Engineering, Specialty, Treaty, and Retrocession departments from the ground up. His underwriting responsibilities spanned 38 countries across the CEE, MENA, and CIS regions.
ORION180
Orion180 announced it has hired former The Hartford executive Chris DiMartino as Chief Underwriting Officer. In this role, DiMartino will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of underwriting, product development and management across its surplus and personal lines of business.
DiMartino brings 27 years of experience in underwriting, actuarial science, and product management in commercial and personal lines P&C insurance. Prior to joining Orion180, he served as senior vice president of insurance services at AAA Northeast and held prominent leadership roles in his 20+ years at The Hartford, most recently serving as Head of Product for its $3 billion personal lines business. DiMartino is a Fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society (FCAS), a Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU), and a licensed attorney.

Sun Life has announced the appointment of Georgina Farrell as Chief Human Resources Officer for Asia, effective May 1, 2025.
In this role, Georgina will be responsible for driving Sun Life’s talent and culture strategy in the region focusing on talent development, organizational growth and employee engagement to support Sun Life’s growth ambitions in Asia.
Georgina joins Sun Life from RSA where she was Chief People Officer, UK, Ireland and Europe and played a key role in developing an integrated people strategy to support business growth. With over 20 years’ experience in HR leadership roles in Asia, Europe, and the Middle East, Georgina has a proven track record of building high-performing teams and aligning people initiatives to business priorities to drive business growth.
BRACE UNDERWRITING
Brace Underwriting Limited (“Brace”), a multi-line and alternative risk specialist underwriter backed by Beat Capital Partners, a subsidiary of Ambac Financial Group, Inc. (NYSE: AMBC), today announces that Hayley Johnston will be joining the board as an independent non-executive director, subject to regulatory approval.
Johnston is currently chief executive officer of Lancashire Insurance Company Limited in Bermuda and was formerly chief underwriting officer for Lancashire Insurance Company (UK) Limited. Prior to Lancashire, she worked at Axis Specialty Europe where she was the underwriting and outwards reinsurance manager.

René Kunz, Head of Agriculture at SCOR P&C, has announced his retirement after nearly 20 years of dedicated service to the role and the Group. He will be succeeded by Vikas Mahajan, effective May 1st, while René will remain at SCOR until July to ensure a smooth transition.
René Kunz joined SCOR P&C as Chief Underwriting Officer for Agriculture in 2006, having spent nearly five years prior to that as Deputy Head of Agriculture at GE Insurance Solutions. Leading the Agriculture team at SCOR, René has been instrumental in developing the Agriculture portfolio and building a highly respected team of experts serving our clients worldwide.
Based in Zurich, Vikas Mahajan will join the Reinsurance Specialty Lines management team, reporting directly to the Head of Specialty Lines, Eric Jenck.
BARCLAYS UK

Barclays UK announces that Jatin Patel will join the Executive team. Effectively immediately, Jatin will lead Barclays’ work across mortgages, savings and insurance.
Jatin has over 20 years’ experience leading and growing retail financial services businesses. He has held executive roles across a range of product lines, including mortgages, savings, and insurance, at organisations such as TSB Bank and Lloyds. Most recently, Jatin held the role of Chief Commercial, Digital and Marketing Officer at Hastings Group, where he led its global retail business.
