The latest update from Consilium for you;
Consilium, the global Speciality (re)insurance broking business of the Aventum Group, has announced the launch of its first Casualty binder for its UK division, Consilium Risk Solutions. The exclusive broker facility is backed by A-rated delegated authority capacity, with low minimum premium levels and valuable extensions.
The binder is aimed at low and medium risk contractors, bringing much needed innovation with broader wordings (for example working at height, depth or high heat exposure). It strips out common restrictions and has replaced them with a range of responsive extensions, including Efficacy, Goods on Hook, Rip and Tear and Defective Workmanship.
Luke Browne has been appointed Senior Underwriter to manage the binder. Luke joins Consilium from Dual Group. He brings with him 10+ years’ market experience and is a specialist in underwriting Liability and Contractors All Risks.
Luke Browne comments: “It was always going to take something special to entice me away from Dual. Consilium is that and more. An inspirational business filled with talented and driven people. They’ve given me a blank canvas, a chance to do things differently, and an opportunity to build something that is truly value, service, and outcome driven.”
Speaking about the launch and Luke’s appointment, Matt Pini, Managing Partner at Consilium Risk Solutions commented: “We’re delighted to welcome Luke to the team to manage our new Casualty binder. Luke has strong broker relationships and deep market knowledge, he is entrepreneurial and service-oriented, perfectly complementing the rest of the team. This binder with its quality paper, speed, service, and competitive premiums brings much needed product innovation to an underserved sector of the market and its exclusivity to Consilium gives our broker partners a valuable market advantage.”
Importantly, the claims from the binder will be managed in house by Consilium’s in-house claims team – highly regarded for its exceptional advocacy-led approach.
Matt Pini continues: “Claims service in this sector of the market is notoriously poor. Our in-house claims team will inject much needed service to the market with an unwavering focus on delivering better outcomes for both brokers and the contractors they serve.”
Consilium expects to add further products to the binder later in the year, including Contractors All Risks, Plant, and Property Casualty.
