Consilium announces a major global expansion of its Cedant Facultative Risk Solutions team and the opening of a new office in Singapore, subject to regulatory approval.
The Singapore office will serve as a gateway for Consilium to broaden its reach across Asia Pacific, delivering specialist reinsurance solutions to cedants with agility and expertise. It will initially be focused on Property, Power, and Energy Facultative Reinsurance classes.
The expansion includes the appointment of several highly respected senior Facultative professionals in both London and Singapore:

In London, Paul Hargis joins the Cedant Facultative Risk Solutions team as Senior Partner, following his notice period from Guy Carpenter. He brings 25 years of Facultative experience, enhancing Consilium’s existing Facultative capabilities. Formerly Managing Director and Head of Facultative International Property & Natural Resources at Guy Carpenter, Paul has also held senior roles at Willis Towers Watson and Aon.

Clare Payne has been appointed Partner in the Cedant Facultative Risk Solutions London team. Clare’s appointment will expand support for cedants into casualty placements. She joins from Gallagher, where she was Placement Director in the major risk practice. Clare has 23 years of broking experience with leading brokers including Heath Lambert, Willis and Aon.
Her expertise spans environmental, product recall, construction, and terrorism risks across Lloyd’s and the London markets.
Clare will use her vast network and experience to help drive Consilium’s expansion into both multinational and local reinsurance Casualty placements.

In Singapore, Rob Drysdale has been appointed CEO, Consilium Cedant Fac Asia to lead the development of the Singapore office, reporting into London. Rob will also join following his notice period from Descartes where he was Head of Southeast Asia.
He brings with him nearly 20 years’ Facultative expertise across the Asia Pacific region. Rob’s previous roles include Divisional Director at Howden Specialty and a seven-year tenure at Willis Towers Watson, where he served as Divisional Director, Global Fac Asia.
