Thanks to the incredible generosity of its customers, Lancaster Insurance has raised over £44,000 for Auditory Verbal UK (AVUK) to help support deaf children to thrive.
Since 2022, customers have been able to support AVUK by adding a £1, £5, or £10 optional donation when purchasing a classic car insurance policy with Lancaster Insurance.
The funds raised will support AVUK’s vital work providing Auditory Verbal Therapy in the UK – a family programme that helps deaf children develop listening and spoken language skills and to have the same opportunities in life as their hearing peers.
The charity’s mission is to ensure that every deaf child under five can access Auditory Verbal Therapy, regardless of family income and where they live. AVUK also conducts pioneering research and raises awareness and expectations of what deaf children can achieve in their lifetimes.
Yvonne Gosney from Lancaster Insurance commented: “The classic car community has once again shown its passion for helping others and we couldn’t have raised this amount to help the incredible work AVUK do, without their support. A huge thank you to each of our customers who has chosen to contribute and help make a difference.”
