Allianz Partners Expands Health & Benefits Network

Allianz Partners update on expanding their product offer, with a new partnership;

Allianz Partners today announced a major expansion of its Allianz Health & Benefits Network through its regional partnership with SanlamAllianz. This initiative creates the first integrated global employee health benefits network across Africa, offering multinational corporations (MNCs) seamless, consistent, and high-quality health and employee benefits solutions across the continent.

The global programmes are currently available in: Morocco, Ivory Coast, Senegal, Cameroon, Gabon, Mauritius, Burkina Faso, Mali, Madagascar, Togo and Benin – with more markets to follow as regulatory approvals are secured.

Africa is one of the fastest-growing regions for employee health benefits, driven by strong demand from multinational employers, rapid economic growth, and a young, mobile workforce.

Established in September 2023 as a joint venture between the Sanlam and Allianz groups, SanlamAllianz is the largest pan-African non-banking financial services entity operating across 26 countries on the African continent. This latest expansion builds on that foundation, positioning Allianz Partners as a leading one-stop provider of international health solutions across Africa.

Through this partnership, MNCs will gain access to:

·       Seamless international and local support – Allianz Partners’ global expertise as reinsurer combined with SanlamAllianz’s local market knowledge.

·       Comprehensive coverage in one network.

·       Simplified programme management – more transparency, cost control and streamlined reporting.

·       Better employee experience – access to digital health tools, large local medical networks including top-end hospitals and high-quality, locally compliant insurance.

Speaking on the announcement, Ivan Komandnyi, Head of Insurer Network Management for Allianz Partners, said:

“This partnership is a game-changer for international employee benefits in Africa. By combining Allianz Partners’ global expertise with SanlamAllianz’s strong local presence, we are creating a single, reliable ecosystem for employers. This is a significant step forward in helping multinational companies deliver consistent, high-quality health coverage for their employees across the continent.”

Allianz Partners plans to further expand the network, introducing new products and innovative digital solutions to help employers build reliable, holistic health and benefits solutions that meet the evolving needs of their workforce.
