The word from Antares as they gather up their brands under one holding company;
Antares, part of the wider QIC group, has completed a corporate restructuring that brings all of the Antares group of companies under a single holding company: QIC Antares Holdings Limited, incorporated in Bermuda.
The project unites all the various Antares companies; including the reinsurance company based in Bermuda, the Lloyd’s syndicate 1274 and the UK insurance company. As a result Antares Re has now moved into an aligned holding company structure that sits it alongside the syndicate and the UK insurance company.
The structural re-alignment follows the previously announced move by Antares towards delivering a cleaner operating structure for the whole business, focused on Commercial, Retail and Legacy business lines.
Kevin Wenzel, Chief Financial Officer of Antares, commented: “We are pleased to have successfully concluded this internal corporate restructuring activity. Whilst there is no impact on day-to-day operations and how we trade with our clients and broker partners, nor for our internal colleagues, the new corporate structure streamlines all our legal entities under a single holding company in Bermuda. This now allows us to more easily move capital within Antares to support our business growth ambitions and provides a clear single focus for Antares group regulation with the Bermuda Monetary Authority.”
