A quick update from Conduit Re for you;
Conduit Re, a multi-line Bermuda-based reinsurance business, is pleased to announce several promotions and a strategic hire. Angus Hampton is promoted to Head of Casualty; Peter Kiernan, Head of Property, will add broker and client management to his area of responsibility; and David Frawley has been recruited to join the specialty team and to work alongside Marc Bearman, Head of Specialty.
As Head of Casualty, Angus Hampton will manage Conduit Re’s global casualty underwriting team. He will lead the continued development and delivery of the company’s casualty strategy, ensuring that Conduit Re continues to provide its clients with innovative and effective reinsurance solutions.
Working with Conduit Re as Head of Property since 2022, Peter Kiernan’s role is expanded to add broker and client management. With more than 20 years of experience, Peter has previously worked with AXA XL, Allianz Risk Transfer and Axis Capital.
David Frawley has worked in specialty reinsurance for more than a decade, having served time with Hamilton Re as VP of Specialty Re and Allied World as Assistant VP of Aviation. David has also held specialty roles at Lancashire and Cathedral Syndicates.
Angus’ appointment follows Mario Binetti’s departure from Conduit Re. Nick Pritchard, Interim Chief Underwriting Officer (CUO), has also indicated that he will leave the company in February. A wide-ranging search to recruit an experienced CUO continues, and it is expected that process will be concluded in the relatively near future.
