Specialist MGA Euna has launched a new care sector recruitment insurance scheme, aimed at agencies supplying temporary and agency staff into CQC-regulated care environments.
The packaged product is designed for recruiters placing staff into residential care homes, nursing homes and domiciliary care providers, with policy wordings and limits aligned to local authority contracting requirements, safeguarding obligations and Care Quality Commission expectations.
The scheme includes:
Medical malpractice cover as standard, up to the selected public liability limit
Abuse and molestation cover with a £2m inner limit
Directors’ and officers’ extension with a £50,000 inner limit
Loss of registration cover with a £100,000 inner limit
Theft of keys cover with a £2,500 inner limit
Euna has researched and understood the needs of a stand-alone care-specific recruitment product delivering documentation and limits tailored to the regulatory and operational risks faced by care sector recruiters.
The Care Sector Recruiters Scheme is available to brokers via Euna’s quote-and-buy platform on PIA.
Pete Newson, Head of Professional Indemnity Underwriting at Euna, said:
“Care recruiters operate in a highly regulated environment, supplying staff into settings involving vulnerable people. This creates a distinct risk profile that is not always well served by generic recruitment policies. Our scheme has been built specifically for the care sector, giving recruiters confidence that exposures around malpractice, safeguarding and regulatory risk are properly addressed.”
