Continuing the appointments theme today, here is a trio of new job moves at Rokstone;
Rokstone, the International Specialty (Re)Insurance MGA, is delighted to announce a series of senior leadership appointments. Nadine Kearney will join the Rokstone Board in the newly created global role of Chief Underwriting & Risk Officer, Robin Ungless has taken up the position of Chief Underwriting Officer, Specialty, and Martin Thomas has been promoted to Global Chief Operating Officer.
Nadine will join the Rokstone Board, with her appointment as Chief Underwriting & Risk Officer subject to regulatory approval. She has been with Rokstone since 2022, joining the business as Head of Portfolio Underwriting before progressing to Chief Underwriting Officer – Specialty, and most recently being named Chief Underwriting & Risk Officer. She has 16 years of experience and, throughout her time with Rokstone, has demonstrated exceptional technical expertise across a broad range of disciplines, including portfolio management, underwriting excellence, governance, risk management, and compliance – all of which will be valuable in her new role.
As Chief Underwriting & Risk Officer, Nadine will play a central role in shaping Rokstone’s global underwriting and risk strategy, ensuring consistently high-quality underwriting outcomes within a disciplined, well-governed operating framework and utilising the advanced capabilities of Rokstone’s proprietary underwriting platform, ATOMX. She will drive the adoption of best-practice underwriting and portfolio management, embed an Enterprise Risk Management framework, and optimise the deployment of Rokstone’s strategic capacity arrangements to support sustainable growth.
Robin Ungless has been with Rokstone for almost 6 years, joining as Portfolio Manager in February 2020. He has 35 years’ experience across both specialty and reinsurance. He is highly regarded by the Rokstone team for his strong leadership and collaboration skills, sound judgment, and deep technical expertise.
In his new role as Chief Underwriting Officer – Specialty, Robin will deliver profitable performance by ensuring underwriting discipline, promoting best practice, fostering a high-performance culture, and championing operational excellence and implementing ATOMX for enhanced data-driven risk assessment and program management.
Finally, Martin Thomas has been promoted to Global Chief Operating Officer. Martin joined Rokstone in June 2024 as Head of Underwriting Management and has since played a pivotal role in strengthening its operations and growth. His expertise includes underwriting management, operational control and governance frameworks, risk monitoring and control, regulatory governance, internal & external audit, underwriting authorities, policies and licensing, and business change management.
