Quick update from Copart;
Global leader in online vehicle remarketing and recycling, Copart UK, has announced that an expansion at its Gloucester Operation Centre will be operational later this year, unlocking the full potential of its 30-acre site and enhancing capacity ahead of the winter season. Works are currently underway to remove buildings remaining from the former Cazoo site, which had previously restricted access to parts of the location.
The redevelopment will enable Copart to fully utilise the space, significantly increasing operational capacity and improving service delivery for customers across the region. The expansion reflects growing demand for scalable and resilient vehicle storage and remarketing solutions, particularly as insurers and fleet customers prepare for increased volumes during adverse weather events.
Jane Pocock, CEO of Copart UK and Ireland, said: “The development of previously inaccessible areas of our Gloucester site will now essentially double its operational capacity, which is great news for our customers in this area. “It will enable us to utilise the full 30-acre site to support our customers with even more contingency land and secure storage space for increased volumes following floods, storms, and other unexpected events, which typically occur throughout the winter months.”
The additional space will also support more efficient site operations, helping to streamline vehicle processing and maintain service levels during high-volume events. This development forms part of Copart UK’s wider investment in its nationwide network, ensuring the business continues to deliver reliable, scalable solutions for its customers across the UK.
