The latest partnership news from ACORD and AEGIS;
ACORD Solutions Group (ASG) is supporting leading Lloyd’s managing agent, AEGIS London, with its data-driven operations and digitalisation initiatives through the implementation of ACORD Transcriber, an intelligent document processing solution that enables data extraction from ACORD Forms and other insurance documents.
The initiative reflects AEGIS London’s commitment to improving data quality, operational efficiency, and consistency by increasing the use of structured data aligned with ACORD Standards. By adopting ACORD Transcriber for ACORD Forms and non-standard documents on one of its OPAL products, AEGIS London will be able to reduce manual processing, improve data accuracy at the point of capture, and enable more scalable, digital workflows across underwriting and downstream processes.
ACORD Transcriber will enhance AEGIS London’s ability to extract, standardise, and use insurance data from ACORD Forms and other insurance application forms uploaded to its OPAL platform. This foundation supports better decision-making and improved analytics, while also positioning the organisation for future interoperability as industry-wide digital adoption accelerates.
AEGIS London Head of Distribution & Digital Trading, Tom Squires, said: “Digitalisation, data and AI are key strategic priorities for AEGIS London, supporting our ambition to continue delivering underwriting excellence through market cycles and in a rapidly evolving technology environment. The implementation of ACORD Transcriber is one of a number of digital initiatives and innovations we are advancing to drive efficiency and position the business for the future.”
ACORD Standards are crucial to building an operational foundation on sound and actionable data that supports modernising internal systems and processes and integrating seamlessly with downstream partners.
“ACORD Transcriber is an advanced, intelligent solution that is empowering AEGIS London to maximise the quality of data extracted from ACORD Forms and other documents,” said Chris Newman, President & CEO of ACORD Solutions Group. “Not only are they streamlining a critical process, they are bolstering market-wide digitalisation with a data-driven solution that meets the highest industry standards.”
This initiative positions AEGIS London for greater scalability and long-term growth through optimising data utility and operations for a future driven by increasingly sophisticated technology and information.
