CII Awards Corporate Chartered Status to 11 Firms

The latest update from the CII for you;

The Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) has awarded Corporate Chartered status to 11 insurance and financial planning firms in the first half of 2026, recognising their public commitment to high professional standards, ethical conduct and better outcomes for clients and customers.

Corporate Chartered status is a mark of technical competence and professionalism. Chartered firms must demonstrate a commitment to the CII Code of Ethics, ongoing people development, customer-centric practice and initiatives that help build public trust in the sector.

Firms that achieved Corporate Chartered status from January to June 2026

 The CII is updating its Corporate Chartered rules to ensure Chartered status continues to provide a clear signal of a firm’s commitment to upholding the highest standards of professionalism. From July 2026, Chartered firms are being invited to begin sharing evidence against an initial set of updated criteria at renewal, ahead of the new rules applying to new applicants from 2027. The changes will strengthen the value of Corporate Chartered status and help recognise firms who do the most to demonstrate leadership, progress and good practice. Callum Beaton, President of the CII, said: “Chartered status is clear communication of a firm’s professionalism, ethical practice, and commitment to continuous improvement. I am delighted to welcome these 11 firms into the CII’s Chartered community and congratulate them on taking this important step towards strengthening public trust and confidence in our profession.”

Kate Gannon, Vice President of the PFS, said: “Achieving Chartered status demonstrates a firm’s dedication and commitment to professionalism, ethical conduct and putting clients at the heart of everything they do. The work done by these firms helps to raise standards across the profession, and build confidence in the value of professional financial advice.”
