Time to catch up with the latest senior appointments – apologies to anyone who missed the cut.

MARSH

 Marsh (NYSE: MRSH) a global leader in risk, reinsurance and capital, people and investments, and management consulting, has announced the appointment of James Lean as UK Transportation & Logistics Industry Leader, Marsh Risk, effective immediately. Mr. Lean is based in London and reports to Charles Beresford-Davies, UK Industries Leader, Marsh.

In this role, Mr. Lean will lead Marsh Risk’s UK Transportation & Logistics industry strategy, bringing together the firm’s full breadth of capabilities to deliver sector-specific insights, strategic advice, and tailored solutions for UK clients. By combining deep industry knowledge with Marsh’s expertise across risk, insurance, data, analytics, and advisory services, he will help transportation and logistics organisations address complex challenges, strengthen resilience, and make more confident decisions in an increasingly dynamic operating environment.

QBE

International business insurer QBE has appointed Jack Norman as Director of Financial Lines for its International Markets portfolio.

Jack brings 15 years of experience to the role, having specialised in financial lines whilst working across multiple product lines. He joined QBE from Aon in 2012 and has since worked in several leadership roles for the insurer, most recently as Head of Technical & Business Performance since 2024.

In his new role, Jack will continue to be based in London and reports to Kevin Shallow, Executive Director, International Markets, QBE. He joins QBE’s International Markets leadership team and will work closely with underwriting teams and product leaders to set the strategic direction for the financial lines portfolio.

ARCH

Arch Insurance International (Arch) has announced the promotion of Roger Moniz to Head of Transactional Risk, effective immediately.

In his new role, Moniz is responsible for growing Arch’s transactional risk portfolio, which provides coverage for representations and warranties, warranty and indemnities, and tax insurance risks across Arch’s international platform.

Based in Bermuda, he underwrites a global portfolio, with a focus on risks in North America, Europe, Middle East and Africa, Asia-Pacific and Australia. He reports to Matt Smith, Managing Director, Arch Insurance Bermuda and will also work closely with Maggie Munns, Head of Executive Assurance, Arch Insurance International.

Moniz joined Arch in Bermuda in 2021 and, prior to his promotion, was Executive Assurance Underwriting Manager. Before joining Arch, he held roles at Aon and RenaissanceRe.

LYCETTS

 Insurance broker Lycetts has appointed John Dawson as Commercial Director to support its growth plans and strengthen its senior leadership team.

Dawson brings a breadth and depth of industry experience spanning broking, insurer distribution, product development, e-trading and digital strategy.

Before joining Lycetts, Dawson was Broker Sales Director and Digital Director at specialist insurer Markel.

He previously spent more than 12 years with Zurich, serving as Head of Distribution and Commercial E-Trade Manager, and represented the insurer on the board of Polaris UK. Earlier in his career, he held senior positions with Countrywide Insurance Marketing.

In his new role, Dawson will lead Lycetts’ insurer relationships and help shape its commercial strategy and client offering. His remit will also cover sales, marketing and the Underwriting Centre of Excellence, and he will join the Executive Committee.

LOCKTON

Lockton, the world’s largest privately held independent insurance brokerage, recently announced the appointment of Lotte Kragh as Head of Energy for Denmark, further strengthening its specialist capabilities.

Lotte joins Lockton in Denmark to establish a specialist Energy offering. Lotte brings more than 10 years of risk and insurance experience in the energy sector, having held senior positions at Marsh in Boston, Aon, and global renewable energy developer Ørsted, where she worked on some of the industry’s most complex projects.

Lotte’s appointment combined with her international experience strengthens Lockton’s ability to serve large Danish clients and support their complex energy projects alongside Lockton’s Global Energy Practice.

ANTARES GLOBAL

 Antares Global has appointed Mat Storr as Head of Reinsurance, following four years as Class Underwriter, Property Treaty at the business.
In his new role, he will lead the continued development of Antares Global’s reinsurance portfolio and strategy for AMAL Syndicate 1274, working closely with teams across the business to drive profitable growth, strengthen key broker relationships and build on the success of the reinsurance team. Storr will report directly to Martin Campbell, Chief Underwriting Officer and Active Underwriter at Antares Global.

CONDUIT HOLDINGS

Conduit Holdings, the ultimate parent company of Conduit Re, a Bermuda-based multi-line reinsurance business, is pleased to announce the appointment of Mark Pickering as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) with effect from 30 November 2026. Mark will join the Board of Conduit Holdings as an Executive Director.

Mark brings nearly 25 years of experience in the reinsurance industry to Conduit. In his role as CFO, Mark will be responsible for collaborating on Conduit’s strategy, leading Conduit’s capital management activities, and financial reporting, as well as overseeing Conduit’s investment portfolio.

Mark joins Conduit from Aspen Insurance Holdings Limited, where he served as Group CFO and Treasurer. He spent eleven years at Aspen, where he held roles of increasing responsibility. Mark joined Aspen in 2015 as Group Treasurer and later became CFO and CEO of Aspen Bermuda Limited, and Group Chief Capital Management Officer. Following his appointment as Group CFO, Mark played a leading role in Aspen’s initial public offering on the New York Stock Exchange in May 2025 and its subsequent acquisition by Sompo, completed in February 2026.

CLEARWATER UNDERWRITING

Clearwater Underwriting (“Clearwater”), the leading specialty underwriting business focused on marine risks, has appointed Tim Strong as Managing Director, Crisis Management, as it expands its specialist underwriting platform into the Crisis Management market.

Tim will build and lead Clearwater’s dedicated Crisis Management business, initially focused on Active Assailant and Terrorism & Political Violence, with the ambition of developing a broader portfolio of Crisis Management solutions as the business grows.

He joins Clearwater with more than 15 years’ experience specialising in crisis management, terrorism and political violence, most recently as Head of Crisis Management at Aspen. Prior to that, he spent more than 10 years at Aspen Insurance Group, progressing through underwriting roles before becoming Head of Crisis Management.

AXA XL

AXA XL has today appointed Steven Lawrence as Head of Fine Art & Specie, UK & Lloyd’s. He will continue to act as Global Practice Leader – Jewelers, Specie and Cash in Transit. Based in London, he starts his new role in September 2026.

Mr. Lawrence will be responsible for developing, executing and managing the underwriting strategies for AXA XL’s UK & Lloyd’s Fine Art & Specie business, focusing on thoughtful and profitable growth and effective risk management.

Commenting on his appointment, Louise Nevill, Chief Underwriting Officer Specialty, UK & Lloyd’s at AXA XL said: “The Fine Art and Specie insurance market was valued at $5.18 billion in 2024 and expected to reach $10.2 billion by 2035, driven, in part, by the increased demand for art investments and the evolving value of collectibles. Fine Art and Specie is, and continues to be, a valuable part of AXA XL’s, UK & Lloyd’s Specialty business.

BLINK PARAMETRIC

Blink Parametric, a leading global InsurTech specialising in parametric insurance technology, has appointed Matthew Thiel as Vice President of Business Development, North America. Based in Wisconsin, Thiel joins Blink Parametric effective 17 August 2026 and will lead the company’s business development strategy across the United States and Canada.

The appointment makes Thiel Blink’s first US-based hire, marking a significant step in the company’s commitment to the American market. As US travellers take more international trips and demand greater transparency and speed from the products that protect them, Blink’s real-time parametric triggers for flight disruption, lost luggage and travel interruption are built for exactly that scale and complexity.

ALLIANZ COMMERCIAL

 Allianz Commercial announces the appointment of Emma Woolley as President Global Specialty and UK Region, subject to the usual regulatory approval. She will join the Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty SE (AGCS)1 Board of Management and will organizationally report to Thomas LillelundChief Executive Officer at Allianz Commercial.

Emma will lead Allianz Commercial’s Global Specialty Lines of Business and the UK markets, bringing together oversight of a key growth segment and one of the core Commercial insurance markets. The appointment reflects Allianz Commercial’s ambition to further expand its worldwide Specialty business and strengthen its position in the UK market, building on its commitment to delivering market-leading solutions for clients and broker partners.

Emma will work closely with Allianz Commercial’s regional Presidents to further expand Allianz’s Specialty portfolio globally as well as with its Chief Underwriting Officer, Vanessa Maxwell Neverton,  and Chief Distribution Officer, Jeremy Sharpe.  She will join Allianz once her current professional commitments have ceased, no later than February 2027.

CONDUIT RE

Conduit Holdings, the ultimate parent company of Conduit Re, a Bermuda-based multi-line reinsurance business, is pleased to announce the appointment of Anthony Mongiello as Chief Operating Officer (COO) with immediate effect. His appointment follows the retirement of Stuart Quinlan earlier this year.

Anthony brings more than 25 years of experience across the insurance, reinsurance and wider financial services sectors, with a proven track record of creating and leading efficient and high performing operations. In his role as COO, Anthony will be responsible for Conduit’s Operations, Information Technology, Underwriting Operations and Claims functions, and will be a member of the Executive Committee.

Anthony joins Conduit from Aspen, where he most recently served as Chief Operating Officer for Aspen’s Reinsurance and Capital Markets businesses. He also spent more than 15 years at AXA XL where he held roles of increasing responsibility, including the Global Head of Operations for the reinsurance business.
