The latest update from Avantia Group;
Avantia Group, the digital home insurance platform and parent company of specialist home insurance business Homeprotect, has announced the addition of Accredited Insurance (UK) Limited as a new co-insurer, marking a significant milestone in Avantia’s continued growth and commercial evolution.
This follows the news in October 2025 that AXA UK renewed its underwriting agreement with Avantia Group in a new multi-year deal, as an extension to a partnership that first began in 2012.
The new co-insurance agreement means AXA retains an 80% share. Accredited – a private equity-owned, A-rated insurer known for its agility and strong capitalisation – joins the panel on a five-year agreement, underwriting the remaining 20%. Together, the two providers create a dual-insurer model that strengthens Avantia Group’s financial resilience and broadens its insurer base.
The addition of Accredited reflects a proactive, strategic decision by Avantia Group to diversify its capacity structure. Accredited was selected not only on the strength of its A-rated financial credentials, but because of a strong cultural alignment with Homeprotect. Accredited shares Avantia Group’s commercial DNA, pace, and growth ambitions, making it a natural fit as the business looks to its next phase of development.
Avantia Group’s decision to move to a dual-insurer model is also expected to deliver tangible benefits for customers, with greater commercial flexibility in the capacity structure enabling Homeprotect to pass on more competitive pricing to policyholders.
The news comes against a backdrop of strong commercial performance for Avantia Group. At the heart of this performance is Avantia Group’s proprietary dynamic non-standard risk pricing model, which allows the business to accurately assess and price complex, non-standard risks, providing access to fair and competitive cover for customers who may struggle to find it elsewhere.
