Aviva has refreshed its Management Liability proposition, introducing broader protection, greater flexibility and clearer policy wording to help businesses respond to changing risks and challenges.
The refresh forms part of Aviva’s continued investment in Financial Lines within its Global Corporate & Specialty business, strengthening its offering for brokers and customers as it continues to grow.
The updated cover reflects evolving challenges faced by organisations, including changing employment practices, increased regulatory scrutiny and rising expectations around governance and ESG-related issues.
In response, Aviva has updated its Management Liability cover to provide more relevant protection and greater clarity around how cover applies.
Key changes include:
Employee Dishonesty and Pension Trustee Liability cover included as standard at no additional cost, each with a £25,000 limit.
Any-One-Claim limits now apply across Directors’ & Officers’ (D&O), Employment Practices Liability (EPL) and Corporate Legal Liability (CLL), providing greater certainty over how individual claims are covered.
Broader investigation cover, including protection at certain pre-investigation stages, helping customers access support earlier when concerns arise.
Enhanced ESG protection, including cover for ESG-related claims and environmental investigation costs.
Expanded protection for workplace-related risks, including claims linked to employee social media activity.
Clearer cover, with more consistent wording and limits across the policy.
More flexible cover for changing businesses, including increased sub-limits and wording designed to better reflect evolving business needs.
Alongside the Management Liability refresh, Aviva has also launched a refreshed standalone Corporate Directors’ & Officers’ (D&O) policy across its Regional and London Market platforms. The updated cover includes broader protection, additional crisis support and new cover extensions
to help businesses and their directors navigate complex business risks.
Daisy Laskey, Head of Management Liability at Aviva, said:
“The risks facing directors and businesses are changing, so their insurance needs to keep pace. We’ve strengthened both our Management Liability and Corporate D&O covers to make them clearer, more relevant and better suited to the challenges organisations are dealing with today.
“This gives brokers greater confidence when placing cover and helps customers better understand the protection available when they need it most.”
