Some details on a new partnership which will see AI used in clinical decision-making;
Tandem Health and Pharmaceutical Press, on behalf of BNF Partnership, has announced a milestone agreement to support health professionals improve patient outcomes. From September 24th, British National Formulary (BNF) and BNF for Children (BNFC) will be available to UK clinicians through Tandem’s Clinical Decision Support, a regulated clinical AI tool.
CE marked under the European Medical Device Regulation (EU MDR) as a Class IIa medical device, Tandem’s Clinical Decision Support will enable health professionals to ask clinical questions and get a source-linked answer directly from BNF and BNFC during a patient consultation.
The first choice for concise, practical and evidence-based medicines information, BNF and BNFC are an integral part of the UK’s healthcare infrastructure, relied on by health professionals to support safe and effective decision-making at the point of care.
This strategic partnership ensures health professionals have access, via Tandem’s Clinical Decision Support, to regularly updated BNF and BNFC knowledge including interactions, side effects, dosages and more, at the moment they need it without leaving the consultation.
