The latest from Zopa for you;
Zopa, the British digital bank pioneer with 2 million customers, has launched targeted support for its investment customers.
It was the first bank in the UK to receive the regulatory approval to offer the service, bridging the gap between generic guidance and financial advice.
The targeted support service process is simple and intuitive. As they onboard to Investments, customers can opt for help choosing an investment fund by answering nine questions that assess their investor type, attitude to risk, confidence in decision-making and response to uncertainty.
Based on their responses and how customers with similar profiles have invested, Zopa then recommends a fund suited to their investment profile.
Zopa entered the Investments market to help those 15 million Brits who hold excess cash grow their money with confidence using an education-first approach. It offers two ready-made Invesco funds, Balanced and Bold, with a track-record of 5.86% and 10.47% average annual returns respectively*.
The funds are managed by Invesco, one of the world’s largest investment managers with over $2tn in assets, seamlessly connected to Zopa using Upvest’s API infrastructure.
Customers can start investing in minutes with as little as £1.
Merve Ferrero, Chief Strategy Officer at Zopa Bank, said: “We’ve seen a persistent gap between people’s intention to invest and their confidence to take that first step, even when they have meaningful cash savings. Too many consumers are unsure whether investing is right for them, whether they can make good decisions, or how much risk they should take. Our targeted support service is designed to close that gap, giving first-time investors the confidence and clarity to get started and make their money work harder — with greater peace of mind.”
The targeted support launch follows an exceptionally strong year for Zopa. The bank announced its third consecutive year of profitability, with pre-tax profits of £65 million for the financial year ending 31 December 2025.
