This is a major step forward on Motor claims for sure, as modern cars cannot just have a screen popped in, the ADAS systems need to be recalibrated and signed off.
Here are the details;
Autoglass® has announced the nationwide rollout of its Mobile Recalibration Pro (MRP), enabling advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) recalibration at customers’ preferred locations.
Designed around convenience, the service makes the replacement journey simpler and easier for insurers, fleet, lease, trade and rental operators as well as consumers, delivering a seamless customer experience without compromising safety or quality.
First unveiled in May 2026 following a three-year research and development partnership with Bosch, MRP by Autoglass® was initially trialled within selected fleet environments to validate its ability to deliver precise, OEM-equivalent ADAS calibration across varying outdoor lighting, ground and weather conditions. Having successfully completed these controlled fleet trials and testing phases, the AI-powered service is now available nationwide, bringing recalibration directly to retail, commercial and insurance customers.
Through extensive trials, Autoglass® tested the precision of its mobile equipment, deep-learning AI software, ePaper target technology and technician workflows against 12 technical and industry criteria. It found that MRP was the only system that met every requirement across target alignment, adaptability to environmental conditions and operational footprint.
The technology has already supported hundreds of thousands of mobile recalibrations across the organisation’s US business, providing further evidence that the service can be delivered safely and at scale across the UK.
John Coombs, Head of Commercial Growth and Innovation at Autoglass®, commented on the national rollout: “When we first showcased Mobile Recalibration Pro, delivering a mobile ADAS recalibration service at scale was recognised as one of the toughest technical challenges in our sector. Today, after rigorous testing and refinement, we are delighted to make it a national reality.
“Transitioning from controlled fleet trials to a nationwide, multi-platform rollout is a major step forward for road safety and operational efficiency. By combining our AI-driven technology with an upskilled technician network and strategic service hubs, we are helping fleet managers, insurers, and everyday drivers keep their vehicles safe and on the road with minimal disruption.”
How MRP will support customers
Delivered through three stages, detection, calculation and recalibration, the rollout will make mobile ADAS recalibration available across the UK, with performance validated through fleet trials demonstrating OEM-equivalent results across a range of outdoor lighting, ground and weather conditions. The operational model comprises:
Dedicated Mobile Units: Fully equipped mobile recalibration vehicles bringing service directly to customer homes, business depots, or roadside locations.
Strategic Training & Service Hubs: Strategically placed facilities, including airport locations, serving a dual purpose as technician training hubs and rapid-response service centres.
Driven by Customer Demand, ADAS and Road Safety
The expansion of MRP has been shaped by strong demand from fleet managers, insurers and retail drivers seeking the convenience of on-site service. Across thousands of UK pilot jobs, MRP recorded a Net Promoter Score (NPS) 7.2 points higher than standard appointments, demonstrating its potential to restore mobile convenience without compromising safety or quality. MRP also addresses a growing road safety and motor claims challenge as ADAS recalibration shifts to a routine part of everyday glass claims.
MRP enables Autoglass® to deliver safe, OEM-equivalent ADAS recalibration at the vehicle’s location, reducing downtime, improving convenience for drivers and supporting more efficient claims through auditable evidence of successful completion. To support the nationwide rollout while maintaining strict quality and safety standards, Autoglass® has upskilled and certified its technician workforce in advanced mobile ADAS procedures.

I think mobile recalibration is a practical move, especially for people who can’t afford to spend extra time arranging multiple appointments after a windscreen replacement. Having the service come to you makes the whole process much easier.
