New Network Thinking From Minster Law

The latest update from Minster Law for you;

National personal injury law firm Minster Law has launched PiRPLE, a new network for law firms choosing not to retain serious injury cases, whether for reasons of specialist capability, capacity, funding, case strategy or other professional considerations.

The network will be free to join and is supported by a secure digital recommendation process compliant with LASPO, SRA and GDPR regulations, with the client reviewing and submitting their information directly to Minster Law. Where a case is assessed and accepted, participating firms have the option to receive a recommendation fee linked to the value of the claim.

Shirley Woolham, Minster Law CEO said “Many law firms will encounter serious injury cases without necessarily wanting to maintain the specialist capability needed to handle them. These claims require significant expertise, resource and funding over several years, while the firm may have a longstanding relationship with the client that it wants to protect.”

“PiRPLE provides those firms with access to Minster’s serious injury expertise through a straightforward recommendation process, while providing the option for a commercial return where we assess and accept the case.”

“Minster is a personal injury specialist rather than a full-service law firm, so we’re not looking to compete with participating firms for other areas of their clients’ legal work. Our focus is on providing the serious injury expertise they need when they need it.”

Minster Law’s serious injury practice is led by Richard Harwood, Director of Serious Injury Legal Services, an experienced personal injury solicitor who has spent most of his career working with seriously injured clients.

Richard said “Recommending another firm to a client with a serious injury is a significant decision. Firms need confidence in the people who will be looking after their client, their specialist skill set and the day-to-day support available for the client and their family. PiRPLE gives member firms access to that specialist capability while allowing them to maintain their wider client relationship.”

PiRPLE will consider intermediate and multi-track personal injury cases from £25,000 through to serious and catastrophic injury claims valued at more than £1m. Its focus will include road traffic accident, employers’ liability, public liability and occupiers’ liability claims.

Shirley added: “As a business-to-business law firm, serious injury has been an important part of Minster Law’s growth and, with over 350 serious injury specialists, we have the capability, capacity and financial strength to take on more cases. PiRPLE gives us a new route to further growth through extending our partnership model to law firms across England and Wales.”

“We know it will take time to build the network. Our focus now is on developing the relationships with firms that see a role for Minster’s serious injury capability alongside their own.”
