IE likes to get about and the Conga Connection Conference in Amsterdam October 2026 was an opportunity to learn more about this software package and how it can empower business teams in so many ways. This is the first of three features, offering a general overview.
LET’S START WITH SOME STATS
Conga is growing fast, with more than 2,000 employees worldwide, some 10K customers and 50% of the Fortune 500 companies use Conga products. Impressive. The Amsterdam event had partner input from AWS, Pink Samurais, Accenture and others and this level of partnership will be familiar to many insurance brands who understand the value of strategic partners; shared knowledge, geographical reach, team-building and more.
KEY ADVANTAGES; SPEED AND COMPLIANCE
A keynote speech from CEO Dave Osborne covered lots of ground, with some of the takeaway points for me being the way change and disruption in markets now hits all companies in waves. Recent cyber-attacks and oil/gas price shocks are a good example, but as Dave notes, “chaos is a challenge, but it also presents an opportunity.”
What I learned from this opening session was how Conga software allows brands to really fine tune their dashboard. How so? Glad you asked, let’s take renewal contracts as an example; you can sift renewals by value, then cross reference by time frame/deadline, add in a layer or two of contract history on price, or discounts. Once you get into a discussion with a client, you can basically draft a binding contract, meeting all local compliance, and push button that across for approval.
No sending an agreement to your legal dept, marketing gurus, regional sales VPs etc. Just all set, good to go. The thought occurred to me that this time-saving efficiency would be perfect for Insurtech’s looking to do business with big insurers and could well make the difference between securing a deal and losing the business through delays and various contractual hoops to jump through.

MEMO FROM THE CTO
Kevin Pawsey sketched out how AI is transforming Conga’s system, plus how their open platform means everything is scalable – again, brilliant for fast growing Insurtech’s who want to punch above their weight.
Conga’s dashboard has AiMe (yes like Amy) as a character who can help with all kinds of everyday tasks, so anyone on your team can ask a question, gather data, generate compliant docs – all that good stuff. AI-ME can also highlight red lines in a contract, so for insurers or brokers if there are some non-negotiable T&Cs or exclusions, you can bring that front and centre as they say in the US.
One interesting facet of the AI toolkit is that it can define a sweet spot between past discounts and ideal future pricing. Which in these inflationary times is going to be very useful. If outside factors alter pricing then Conga’s AI can identify where the perfect balance can be struck, which means there’s less chance of losing repeat business by suddenly pricing things too high.
So, what you have is AI orchestration on pricing, pretty much in real time. Cool.
ACCELERATE
Listening in on a breakout session later it was illuminating to get some case study feedback from ABB and HAWE SE, both engineering firms.
Both noted that their sales teams started to work more effectively, staff would tell their managers that they thought they had spotted a new opportunity, just by analysing existing contracts. For HAWE SE the revelation was in moving from very fixed pricing on services to something more flexible, more agile.
“We started to work as teams where there was a defined range of prices, so you had a cushion to work with. It led to more deals being closed.”
