Azur, the Managing Digital Agent, has partnered with Grohe, the German manufacturer of smart water detection devices. The scheme will involve working exclusively with broker partners and their existing High Net Worth clients. Azur will provide these selected clients with complimentary supply and installation of the Grohe water leak detection system to guard against water damage in the home.
In addition, the clients will also benefit from a reduction in their home insurance premiums.
Grohe Sense Guard works in conjunction with the Ondus app and tracks water consumption. It can then warn clients if there is a leak and advise them where this has been detected. However, unlike similar solutions, Grohe Sense Guard offers more than just an alert service; it is an actual prevention device that can shut off the mains water supply in case of a major leak or burst pipe from the touch of a button on their smartphone or tablet. Clients can ensure their home is always protected, wherever they are.
Azur is committed to delivering innovative solutions like this into the broker market, which are rapidly becoming the norm as more and more people live in connected homes with smart technology. Once the pilot has been completed, the company hopes to extend the scheme to its broader customer base by working with brokers to educate clients about water damage.
Kate Wells, Managing Director of Azur, commented:
“Significant water damage within the home can be absolutely devastating for homeowners. On average we are seeing that our clients are spending up to six months out of their home during the drying out period. We are therefore taking a proactive approach by working with Grohe to help prevent our clients from experiencing such disruption. We hope to roll out the system to all eligible customers if the pilot is a success, as this technology has the potential to provide homeowners with incredible peace of mind.”
Sophie Bishop, UK Head of DIY at Grohe, adds:
“Grohe are thrilled to be partnering with Azur, to introduce their customers to the benefits and peace of mind that a water security system such as Grohe’s Sense Guard can bring. Potential water damage in the home is too often one of those issues that isn’t given much thought, until it’s too late of course. At Grohe, we understand that water damage is more than an inconvenience. We want to help Azur provide the best service, solution and peace of mind to their customers. The Sense Guard is an easy to use system that monitors the water pressure and even micro leaks in the home; all accessible from a smartphone. Grohe are positive that the pilot scheme will be the makings of a continued successful partnership”.
