Community Connections:  Building on its growing success to improve the quality of its employees lives and those of their local community, a Connected Community initiative launched 4 volunteering days across the organisation. Partnering with charities and local community projects, the initiative offers colleagues in the business the opportunity to actively help others and witness how their efforts create positive outcomes in their community.

Personal and Professional Development: Promoting personal enrichment and growth, short courses has seen a number of employees enrol on ‘level 2’ programmes from Awareness of Mental Health Problems, to Health and Nutrition courses.  In addition, its ‘Keep In Development’ Days (KID) enables those on maternity leave to attend up to five paid development sessions during their maternity leave on topics such as paediatric first aid, personal resilience, career planning, family financial wellbeing and healthy eating.

Environment Enhancements:  Enhancement of the physical working environment in the Newcastle hub, includes a ‘mindfulness’ room where colleagues can retreat to either pray, relax, or for new mothers to ‘express’.
