The crème de la crème of the insurance industry tackled with the elements at Insurance Endurance 2019, as the 15 teams competed in a 6-hour endurance karting race at Kart PFI Racetrack near Grantham, the UK’s largest outdoor karting circuit on Tuesday 25th June.
Congratulations goes to quick-witted, Not Fast But Furious, of accident management experts, Take That Car Hire Ltd who claimed the top podium position after a composed and consistent performance on the track; despite 2018 winners Bankstone been hot on their heels in an enthralling fight for the finish. With Bankstonefinishing just 49.39 seconds behind the champs, third place went to well deserving Rescuemycart, the professionals at Rescuemycar.com – one of the UK’s fastest growing breakdown specialists.
Bronze wasn’t all that Rescuemycart took away with them, after changing tyres on a Formula 1 car in a staggering 3.53 seconds they were crowned winners of the Pit Stop Challenge. They also received a special mention for setting the fastest lap time of the day not once, but twice, at a speedy 1:29:38, clocking in at 34.59mph.
More than a great day out and networking opportunity, Insurance Endurance 2019 helped raise funds forThe Insurance Charities, who help support past and present insurance employees and their families in the UK and Ireland, providing over £1.7 million of help to insurance people in need last year alone.
Offering one-off payments, ongoing financial help and practical support and advice, to those who have suffered a misfortune in their life, the Charity supports anyone working in the sector.
In addition to online donations from NCI Insurance and Auto Logistic Solutions Ltd, generous raffle donations on the day raised a combined total of £549.67 for The Insurance Charities.
Insurance Endurance will return to Kart PFI Racetrack next year on Tuesday 23rd June 2020 with registration now open. With any companies or individuals working in or around the UK insurance market eligible, anybody who registers their interest by Thursday 18th July will be automatically entered into a prize draw to win a track day for two at Kart PFI Racetrack.
