Specialist independent Lloyd’s broker SSL Endeavour Limited (“SSL Endeavour”) announces two important senior executive appointments, Jonathan Palmer-Brown and Hugh Crossland, who take up their positions as Group Non-Executive Chairman and Group CFO respectively with immediate effect.
The company also confirmed today that it is finalising the acquisition of Worldlink Holdings, a fast growing North American aviation brokerage and MGA, and that further announcements will follow upon conclusion of this significant transaction.

Our new Group Chairman Jonathan Palmer-Brown hardly needs an introduction having had a very successful career in the London market over fifty years, and we are extremely fortunate to have such an experienced and well connected individual to help guide us through the next phaseof growth.”
Jonathan Palmer-Brown came into the London market in 1968 with brokers Stewart Smith. He subsequently co-founded NCC Insurance Brokers, in 1988, which was ultimately fully merged with Aon by 1993. At Aon Jonathan was Chairman and Chief Executive of Aon Global Specialty and Deputy Chairman of the UK Group. He joined JLT in 2009, becoming a Member of the Group Executive and Chairman of their Specialty Business before becoming Senior Adviser to the Group CEO. He has also been Chairman of LIIBA and LIBC.
Hugh joins SSL Endeavour from JLT where, since 2016, he held the role of CFO & Commercial Director for Latin America & Canada. Prior to that, he was JLT’s Group Head of M&A for 5 years. Hugh is a Chartered Accountant having qualified with KPMG in its financial services division.

The appointments follow the announcement at the end of July 2019 regarding the establishment of a wholly owned subsidiary, SSL Endeavour Insurance Brokers Ltd Cyprus & Greece, pending regulatory approval.
