Specialising in private car and small commercial vehicle insurance, Premier Underwriting currently writes around £60 million of motor insurance business for its partners across the UK. The addition of Premier will help to expand BGL’s customer footprint across its own and partner brands.
BGL now works with 17 insurers and has both panel and solus underwriting models in place for its brands. Premier Underwriting covers car and commercial vehicle policies, focusing on those customers who live outside of cities, writing risk for policy holders with both high and low levels of No Claims Discounts. With over 11 million customers, and links with some of the UK’s leading household names in banking, retail and motoring to sell car, commercial vehicle and home insurance to their customers, BGL has ambitious growth plans in place, with a strong and diverse insurer panel key to achieving these goals.
