Inver Re Makes Key Hire

Inver Re, part of Ardonagh Group, has made a key hire, appointing Chris Carney in the new role of Head of Commercial Operations.

Chris will be leading on operational model design and be responsible for the development of consulting services and solutions to meet clients’ needs as the reinsurance and bespoke risk strategy specialist continues to grow.

He joins from CGI UK where he was Director of Consulting, delivering client-responsive solutions. Carney has more than 30 years of insurance experience, including time spent at Marsh UK as COO of the Markets Division, Willis UK as Executive Director of Global Placement and founding his own consultancy firm, Verticalised Consulting.

Chris Carney commented: “The opportunity to build a new, innovative and hugely compelling proposition is incredibly exciting. With the backing of the Ardonagh Group, I believe Inver Re is changing the market – and I’m looking forward to making sure we have the skills, processes and technology to exceed our client’s expectations. I can’t wait to get under the skin of the business, consult with clients, understand their needs – and get stuck into delivery.”

Inver Re London CEO Jonathan Prinn comments: “I’m very happy to have Chris join the Inver Re team, as we continue in our ambition to be a client-centric, agile broker – and provide independent choice in the market. Chris has significant experience in delivering innovative service propositions, from creating highly successful e-placing platforms, to managing internal broker MGAs and developing exposure analytics services for carriers. His technical expertise and proven track record are exactly what we need as we pursue our growth plans.”
