Commercial: New IoT Tracker Could Help Insurers

Insurance brands active in the logistics chain, construction and machinery hire market will be interested in this news from Germany; a tracker that can be placed inside a packing case, or the item itself, to monitor exactly where it is, the temperature, movement etc. Although the gadget is ideal for Commercial brokers and partners, it also offers an extra layer of security for everything from expensive medical devices, classic cars, public sector infrastructure, or heritage works of art – especially those in transit via auction houses. Here’s the word;

ASPION GmbH introduces the ASPION L-Track, a unique IoT device with a sensor and IoT platform that enables live global transport monitoring of valuable and sensitive machinery and equipment for several years. The connected Internet of Things (IoT) platform gives customers round-the-clock access to the current location of goods as well as unusual occurrences, including an alerting function.

As an end-to-end solution “Made in Germany”, the specialist in data loggers for shock and impact monitoring is consistently expanding its product portfolio with the ASPION L-Track to include a live tracking IoT system for multimodal, global 360-degree transport monitoring and a secure supply chain. ASPION will present a preview for the first time at the logistics trade fairs LogiMAT and transport logistic.

360-degree transparency in real time for impact/shock, climate and more

The new ASPION L-Track is particularly suitable for machinery and plant manufacturers who want to consistently monitor shock-sensitive, high-value equipment live in multimodal worldwide transport and track its current location and condition in real time. The special feature of all ASPION data loggers, including the new ASPION L-Track, is the detailed shock recording in milliseconds, supplemented by the unique shock and vibration test in accordance with the European transport standard.

Damaging shocks are reliably and recognisably traceable – immediately after they occur. Combined with geo-coordinates, the recording of other environmental influences such as temperature, humidity or even opening or inclination detection, users receive 360-degree transparency of their systems around the globe in real time. This enables customers to react directly to events and initiate necessary measures.

The L-Track will be officially launched at the LogiMat Show (25 – 27.04.23, Stuttgart, Hall 8 Stand B17) and Transport Logistic event (09 – 12.05.2023, Munich, Hall A3 Stand 230).
