The final sign off from Gerard Grech, CEO at Tech Nation arrived in the IE inbox today. It’s an emotional time for many in the insurtech and fintech sector as the organisation which helped get them off the ground and process work visa applications for international staff, finally closes down. But the visa system will continue, as Founders Forum takes over the TN brand. Here’s the word;
This morning we announced that Founders Forum Group (FF Group) has formally acquired Tech Nation. As such, this is my final note to you in my capacity as founding CEO, a role I have been hugely privileged to hold for the last nine years. Over the coming weeks, you will hear more about how the FF Group, led by Carolyn Dawson OBE, will continue to execute against Tech Nation’s mission to empower tech entrepreneurs, scale innovative startups and provide a united platform for UK tech founders.
FF Group will relaunch a number of Tech Nation programmes and reports on the UK tech sector as part of its existing portfolio of events and services tailored to entrepreneurs, continuing to build on our activities to date. Anyone interested in applying for a Global Talent Visa can continue to do so as normal. Under the FF Group umbrella, Tech Nation will continue to process applications while the Home Office identifies a new endorsing body to take this forward.
