AG Rated as a Good Place to Work by Randstad

In April, Randstad announced the results of its annual survey into the attractiveness of Belgian companies as employers. AG confirmed its position as the most attractive insurer to work for in Belgium. According to the respondents, no company in the banking and insurance sector offers more career opportunities.

What makes a company an attractive employer? And which companies are the most attractive to work for? These are the two key questions of Randstad’s annual Employer Brand Research. The research focuses on the large private employers in Belgium with more than 1,000 employees. 8,762 respondents were surveyed across 187 companies. The result? A unique insight into the attractiveness of companies and a ranking of the most attractive employers in Belgium.

AG again most attractive insurer

Anyone who knows AG will find AG the most attractive employer of all (commercial) banks and insurers in Belgium. The company is also in the top 50 most attractive employers across all sectors. No banking and insurance company scores higher than AG in terms of ‘career opportunities’. AG is also in the top 3 at sector level for, for example, ‘job security’, ‘attractive salary package and other benefits’, ‘and ‘work-life balance’.

Jan Heyvaert, Chief Human Resources & Sustainability Officer van AG:

“I am very pleased that AG is rated so highly as an employer, in several areas. It is a nice recognition, but also a pure necessity. In today’s war for talent, as an employer you can no longer build your reputation on one or two strong assets. Candidates are becoming more and more demanding and look at everything an employer has to offer them. That is why we have invested heavily in recent years to offer everyone, both our current and future employees, a total story. After all, we don’t hire people for one job, but for an entire career. We therefore offer them every opportunity to develop and grow further, in a warm, family and dynamic atmosphere. With a lot of flexibility, a unique training offer and a personalized remuneration package. In this way we want to be a ‘great place to grow’: in every field and for every talent.”

Already 136 hires in 2023

Despite the shortage on the Belgian labour market, AG set ambitious recruitment targets: the company is looking for 360 new colleagues in 2023.  And it is well on its way to achieving those objectives. In the first three months of 2023, 136 new colleagues already signed a contract with AG. If you surf to the AG jobsite today, you will see about 90 vacancies.

Christelle Bouhy, head of Talent Acquisition & CHRSO Solutions:

“We are looking for many more new colleagues this year. Behind one job title on the jobsite there are sometimes several open positions. In the case of the ‘insurance officer’ even about a hundred. We are looking for so many new colleagues in quotation, policy and claims management. But we are also still looking for about 30 starting and experienced IT profiles and dozens of experts in other domains, such as actuaries, technical inspectors, lawyers, marketers and business analysts.”
