The Ardonagh Group has completed its acquisition of high-net-worth broker Classicus, as it builds on its specialist capabilities and platform for growth in The Netherlands and across Europe. Headquartered in Amsterdam, Classicus provides a range of specialist high net worth products for classic and luxury cars, yachts, art collections together with other specialist high-net-worth products. Its businesses also include wholesale broker, Classicus Europe and London-based Classicus Ltd, which comprises the firm’s non-EU wholesale business.
Classicus will operate within Ardonagh Europe, part of Ardonagh’s International platform, complementing its existing Dutch business, global brokerage Léons, one of the leading ultra-high-net -worth brokers in The Netherlands, leading to an even closer collaboration between both companies.
Together with Ardonagh’s recent acquisition of Klap Verzekeringsmakelaar, an independent, specialist commercial and personal lines broker based in Amsterdam, Ardonagh is building a comprehensive portfolio of businesses that offer a suite of complementary solutions to their Dutch customers.
