Covertech Australia Announces Key Hires

Some key hires for CoverTech in Australia, here’s the word;

Covertech, Australian Insurtech group, has announced the appointment of Steve Sloan as Managing Director. Sloan, who is currently the CEO of 247 Systems – VIA and an Executive at Ausure, will depart his role at Ausure to take up the position at Covertech in December 2023 and will be based in Brisbane. Covertech says Sloan holds over two and a half decades of experience across Australia, New Zealand,
and Asia.

CEO CJ Behne commented on the appointment: “Today marks an exciting milestone for Covertech as we announce Steve Sloan as our Managing Director. His successful journey as a Founder and digital marketing expert speaks volumes about his ability.”

Chris Rouse Joins as Non-Executive Director

Covertech also introduced the appointment of Chris Rouse as a non-executive director. Chris, the current Steadfast Executive General Manager – Technology, has over 20 years of experience in senior IT management, technology, audit and cybersecurity roles.
He is a Certified Information Systems Security Professional and an ISC2 and ISACA member.

CTO Franz See

The company also introduced their International CTO, Franz See, who is a tech startup veteran with 17 years of experience. As a former VP of Engineering and CTO twice, this will be his 3rd CTO role. Franz has ten years of global people management experience, leading world-class engineering teams across APAC, the EU, and the US. Behne says Franz’s track record of driving technological advancements and
spearheading successful product development makes him the perfect fit to lead our global technical strategy. We are confident that his expertise will be pivotal in scaling our technology infrastructure, enhancing our product offerings, and expanding our presence in international markets.”
