The latest update from Tietoevry;
The ransomware attack on one of Tietoevry’s data centers in Sweden took place during the night of January 19-20. Tietoevry was able to stop the attack and limit the impact to one platform which was immediately isolated from other Tietoevry infrastructure. The attack has not affected other parts of the company’s infrastructure.
Tietoevry sincerely regrets the inconvenience caused by this criminal attack to our customers and all those affected by it. Owing to the diverse profiles of the directly impacted customers, the effects of the attack have been visible and felt in the Swedish society in various ways.
Tietoevry has been working closely with the customers in question through the past weeks to help them return to normal operations safely as soon as technically possible. Such restoration process includes several carefully planned and executed phases. At the moment the technical server restoration is at 90% completion, while the recovery of our customers’ services is currently at around 70%. Tietoevry continues to work closely with the customers and their other service providers to complete the final steps of the recovery.

Tietoevry continues to actively support the authorities in their investigations. Company’s security experts have assessed potential attack vectors and carried out related security verifications. Due to the criminal nature of the attack and for security reasons, Tietoevry cannot publicly share technical details of the attack, the restoration details nor customer-specific information.
