Avid Insurance Partners With MS Amlin on Leasehold Cover

Avid Insurance, the specialist MGA, has entered into a new partnership with MS Amlin Insurance to provide capacity into the Public Sector ‘right to buy’ the Leasehold insurance market

Lee Longley, Head of Commercial at Avid, said Local Authority buyers of Leasehold insurance have welcomed Avid’s presence in the market after several years of limited choice

Lee added: “Avid entering the market with MS Amlin Insurance is good news for councils, who’ve had to respond to large rating increases since 2021-22”.

He said that, as insurance premiums are passed down to individual Leaseholders these increases have had seen their individual contributions increase significantly across England and Wales as a whole, but especially in London.

Lee explained that most contracts are renewed in April and “we’ve seen a lot of interest in our Leasehold product in Q1 this year, and volume of written policies ahead of plan.”

“Looking ahead, we look forward to engaging with clients and their advisors over the coming months to see if Avid can assist with their insurance requirements for the remainder of the year, into 2026 and beyond.”
