Price Forbes announces that Suvimol Sathanart has been appointed as head of property, Asia, effective immediately. She will be based in Singapore and report to chief broking officer Julian Coates.
Sathanart will be responsible for the growth and development of Price Forbes’ Asia-Pacific property business. She brings more than 20 years of non-life insurance experience to her new role, having previously worked in the U.S., Singapore and Thailand. Her considerable expertise in both insurance and reinsurance placements and her deep understanding of the ASEAN market will support Price Forbes’ ambitions in the region.
ASCOT GROUP
Ascot Group Limited, the Bermuda-based global specialty insurance company, has announced the appointment of Rosalind Brewer, Martin Flanagan and Robert Sewell to its Board of Directors, pending regulatory approval. These strategic appointments will further strengthen the company’s leadership, building upon its nearly 25-year legacy of distinguished performance and operating excellence.

MET LIFE
MetLife Investment Management (MIM), the institutional asset management business of MetLife, Inc. (NYSE: MET), recently announced that it has named Brian Funk its president. Funk previously served as interim president and global head of Private Capital for MIM.
Funk will be responsible for delivering investment performance and client growth to expand MIM’s $616.9 billion in total assets under management (AUM). This includes integrating PineBridge Investments, a global asset manager with approximately $100 billion in AUM, into the firm, upon closing of the acquisition anticipated to occur by the end of 2025. This acquisition will significantly expand MIM’s public and private credit offerings and global capabilities.

Tal Brener joins as Group Chief Financial Officer (CFO), and Mark Dennis has been named as Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Europe. With experience in senior leadership roles across the insurance industry, including at fast-scaling insurtechs such as Flock, he brings proven leadership in scaling and transforming operations. As COO of Europe, he will lead INSHUR’s efforts to enhance its presence and execution across the region.

Health Shield Friendly Society has announced the appointment of Graham Berville as the new chair of the board, who brings with him 40 years of experience in the financial services sector. He replaces Julie Hansen who has stepped down from her position after five years of dedicated service in the role. Graham joined the business in March as a non-executive director working alongside Julie to ensure a seamless handover and will assume the role of chair from 1st July 2025.

Apollo, the innovation inspired insurance platform, announces the appointment of Steve Portman as head of energy, effective June 2025. Based in London, Steve will report to Simon Mason, head of marine, energy, and transportation, and will play an essential role in enhancing portfolio growth and market positioning within the energy division.
Steve brings 24 years of experience working in upstream and midstream energy insurance as a broker and underwriter. He joins Apollo from MS Amlin, where he was lead underwriter and was responsible for driving profitable growth in the upstream energy portfolio, whilst growing their leadership position and strengthening market relationships across key accounts. Prior to this, Steve spent 15 years working at various Lloyd’s brokers. He was a director at Thompson Heath & Bond and Howden and has held associate director positions at Willis & Glencairn and a broker role at Miller.
KENNEDYS

Kennedys, a global litigation and dispute resolution firm, has appointed Tracy Watkinson as its inaugural Chief Operating Officer (COO).
Tracy brings extensive experience in financial leadership and operational management, having held senior roles at major financial institutions such as Barclays, UBS, and Credit Suisse. Most recently, she served as Chief Operating Officer of Finance at NatWest Group, where she implemented a global finance transformation and established a new COO department of 300 employees. Her proven track record of driving sustainable business outcomes through data-driven decision making and operational oversight will support Kennedys’ growth ambitions.
Additionally, she is a Non-Executive Director of Time Finance, an AIM listed invoice and asset financing business for UK SMEs.

Pen Underwriting announces that Jamie Lawson has been appointed to the newly created role of Head of Digital E-Trade, to manage and co-ordinate digital growth initiatives right across the multi-class, multi-territory underwriting and distribution business.
Having previously led on e-trade and distribution as E-Trading & Schemes Director within Pen’s SME & Personal Lines division, Jamie’s promotion – effective 1 July – will see him and his team apply their learnings, expertise and best practice across all four of Pen’s trading divisions. Together they will drive and accelerate digital trading in the areas that will bring benefits to broker partners and clients alike.

Global law firm, Clyde & Co has announced the appointment of disease and workplace stress claims specialist Barbara Goddard as a partner in its London office.
Barbara joins the firm from DAC Beachcroft where she headed up their London disease team. She brings with her more than 25 years’ experience in handling all aspects of injury and disease claims, particularly complex, high-value employers’ liability claims and public and product liability cases. Barbara has specialist knowledge of stress, asbestos and poisoning claims, and has a particular interest in new and emerging trends in the disease arena, including occupational cancer and, more recently, Covid-19.
AEGIS LONDON

Tokio Marine HCC (TMHCC), based in Houston, Texas, has announced the appointment of Elizabeth Geary to the newly created role of President & CEO of North America P&C. Elizabeth will be responsible for the growth and leadership of TMHCC’s North American P&C business units. She takes up her new role on June 30, 2025, reporting to Susan Rivera, CEO of Tokio Marine HCC, and will be based in New York City.
Elizabeth brings more than two decades of underwriting and senior leadership experience to TMHCC. She joins from Liberty Mutual, where, as President, Insurance Solutions, she was responsible for the launch and development of a new organization, focused on proactively managing brokers’ and clients’ evolving risk needs with a focus on cyber, energy transition, and alternative risk solutions.

H&H Insurance Brokers (HHIB) has appointed Tom Lawlor as Broker Manager to build upon its existing relationships and develop new partnership with insurers to help offer a greater service and products to its clients.

NHBC
The National House Building Council (NHBC) is pleased to announce the appointment of Paul Turner as Chief Executive Officer, effective 1 September 2025. Paul will succeed Steve Wood, who announced his intention to step down earlier this year after leading the organisation since 2017.

Oliver brings with him over a decade of experience from PwC where he spent nearly twelve years in the pensions practice advising both sponsors and trustees of DB and DC pension schemes, most recently as Head of the Leeds pension team.

Arch Insurance UK Regional Division has announced the promotion of Mark McGrady to Liability Underwriting Manager, with immediate effect.
In this role, McGrady is responsible for leading the underwriting activities across the product-led liability portfolio for the UK regional business. The team provides commercial package and standalone policies for a broad range of complex risks in areas including consumer products, emerging risks, research & development and prototyping, renewable energy and US exports.
