Wiser Academy, the award-winning provider of insurance training and development, has launched GPT-Tutor – an AI-powered study companion designed to support learners preparing for Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) exams.
Built on advanced GPT technology and trained exclusively on Wiser Academy’s materials, GPT-Tutor gives learners access to out-of-hours support tailored to the CII syllabus. The system is designed to explain complex concepts, generate practical insurance examples, provide step-by-step calculations, and create interactive quizzes – all in a safe, syllabus-focused environment.
Crescens George, CEO of Wiser Academy, said: “This is a first for the insurance training sector. We know how difficult it can be for learners to balance study with busy working lives. GPT-Tutor acts like a personal study coach – available any time of day, able to explain concepts in different ways, and to make learning more interactive and engaging.”
Unlike open AI platforms, GPT-Tutor has been carefully trained and restricted to Wiser Academy’s content, including lecture transcripts, trainer slide decks, mock exams, and the CII syllabus. This ensures accuracy, alignment with exam requirements, and safeguards against the risks of “AI hallucinations.”

Back in 2010, when virtual classrooms were still a novelty (long before they became the norm post-Covid), we launched our Virtual Cert CII training to the UK and international insurance market. Today, we’re taking another bold step.”
