Tietoevry Industry has signed a new long-term agreement with the National Government Service Centre in Sweden (Statens servicecenter) for the continued delivery of the HR and payroll system Primula to Swedish government agencies.

The National Government Service Centre is a central government agency that provides administrative services – such as finance, payroll, and HR – to nearly 170 Swedish authorities. The agreement, effective from 10 December 2026, further strengthens the longstanding collaboration between Tietoevry and the agency. The contract spans six years, with an option to extend for an additional four years.

“We are proud to once again earn the trust of the National Government Service Centre as we continue delivering Primula to agencies and higher education institutions across Sweden. Developed in close collaboration with our customers, Primula is a flexible system that streamlines HR and payroll work for over 150 customers in central government, of which the majority are connected to the joint agreement via Statens servicecenter. This renewed agreement is a testament to our commitment to continuously enhance our software and services,” says Eva Houltzén, Head of HR & Payroll at Tietoevry Industry.

Stability and security at the core

For public sector organisations, stability, ease of use, and security are essential when implementing new software solutions. Under the new agreement, Primula will continue to serve as a comprehensive solution for the National Government Service Centre’s HR and payroll needs. This includes specialised integrations and additional services selected by the customer, along with a dedicated security agreement that enables the customer to meet the updated requirements in Swedish Security Service’s regulations.

The contract also includes the development of new features requested by customers, such as improved support for LAS (Employment Protection Act) management and an expanded backup payroll routine to strengthen continuity planning. A clearer supplier collaboration model is also being introduced, reinforcing the partnership.

“For us at Tietoevry, a long-term approach and partnership with our customers are key values. Through this agreement, we can continue to deliver stability and at the same time drive innovation. We are excited to continue supporting the National Government Service Centre with our services,” concludes Eva Houltzén.
