Claims triage at the FNOL stage can often be where the big savings in time and money are made. Here’s the word from Davies;
Davies, the leading specialist professional services and technology company serving insurance and highly regulated markets, today announced the successful deployment of its AI-powered claim intake agent to corporate risk claims.
The new GenAI-powered agent streamlines the initial stage of the corporate risk claims journey by gathering and processing information from multiple sources into ClaimPilot, before handing the claim seamlessly to a Davies claims handler to progress.
The new agent enables a reduction of over 80% on claims intake process times and creates significant opportunity for its people to concentrate on more complex and value-generating tasks for its corporate risk clients.
With insurers, brokers and policyholders often required to enter claim details into specific, labour-intensive templates, the technology uses a source-flexible extraction model to capture information from any format – including insurer-mandated templates, bespoke forms and even handwritten documents. This not only eliminates manual rekeying but also delivers a more efficient and consistent experience for clients.
The solution also includes an intelligent ‘human in the loop’ safeguard. If the AI agent is unable to confidently extract the required information, the case is seamlessly handed to a Davies expert at the precise point of challenge – avoiding any need to restart the process and further enhances the speed and reliability of the customer journey.
By capturing and structuring claim information as soon as it’s received, instead of relying on manual re-keying or delayed hand-offs, the technology is enabling teams to focus on customer care rather than preparing for a claim. For Davies’ clients, this means quicker acknowledgement of new claims and reduced time lost at the start of the claim lifecycle, as well as faster visibility of key claim details, and earlier engagement with the right specialists.
This AI-agent is part of the firm’s multi-million-pound investment into AI and GenAI automation, across its ClaimPilot product suite in the U.S., UK & Ireland. Launched in 2025, the product suite delivers technical expertise and innovation to Davies’ clients, using the latest technology to drive results. Through its investments made to deliver tech-enabled innovation, Davies can continue supporting its clients’ needs through maintaining its highly competitive fees.
Dan Saulter, Group CEO, Davies, said: “We’ve already seen how game-changing this technology is for progressing claims for both clients and policyholders, with speed and accuracy of processing being key metrics for our corporate risks clients.”
“The technology allows us to scale as our client volumes grow and new corporate risks use cases are introduced, and we already have investment plans to extend the capability across additional lines and workflows so more customers can benefit”.
The firm’s claim intake technology is now forming a core part of Davies’ Corporate Risks proposition and complements the firm’s wider strategy of implementing and leveraging AI, agentic AI and the latest technology throughout the business – a core focus and investment area for its Vision 2030 mission.
