The event brought together professionals in AI, data, analytics and more;
Mapfre has held its inaugural AI Summit, its first global event dedicated to Artificial Intelligence, which brought together more than 250 professionals working on data and AI initiatives across the Group, both in person and via a live global broadcast.
Held simultaneously in Madrid, Boston, and São Paulo, and streamed worldwide, the hybrid, multilingual event reflected Mapfre’s strong focus on international collaboration and digital transformation.
The initiative was driven by Mapfre’s AI Center, which governs and coordinates AI-led innovation across the organisation. At the heart of the summit was the presentation of AI use cases from across the business, highlighting the growing maturity and engagement of teams globally.
A total of sixty use cases were submitted for awards from different countries, business units, and functions, and were evaluated across three strategic categories:
· ROI, focused on value creation and measurable business impact
· Scalability, recognising solutions with potential for deployment across markets and lines of business
· Responsible AI, reinforcing Mapfre’s commitment to ethical, secure, and values-driven AI adoption
The event marked an important milestone for Mapfre, underscoring its ambition, alignment, and progress as a global organisation leveraging AI. Strong participation and engagement further reinforced the role of AI as a key pillar of Mapfre’s future, driving business value, scalability, responsibility, and a continued focus on people.
Beyond the competition, the AI Summit served as a platform to connect talent, foster collaboration, and strengthen Mapfre’s global AI community.
The breadth and quality of the submissions demonstrated how multidisciplinary teams can translate ideas into impactful, real-world solutions.
