AXA’s Partnership With Commercial Express is Now Live

Swifter service on claims, plus enhanced fleet risk management are the core aims, here’s the word;

AXA Insurance UK’s partnership with Commercial Express to provide capacity for the MGA’s commercial property owners book is now live.

The deal, which was signed last year, sees AXA bring further strength of capacity and proposition to the Commercial Express panel.

Sam Houlden, Head of Schemes Distribution, said: “It’s great to see this partnership come to fruition and we look forward to building a long-term relationship with Commercial Express.

“The success of our schemes business is founded on lasting partnerships, and we are keen to work with MGAs who are experts in their field or have knowledge of niche business areas.”

What’s improved?

Commercial motor customers can now report claims to AXA Insurance UK at any time of day – or night. Previously only roadside emergencies could be reported out of hours but now customers can register any type of claim at whatever time they choose.

The insurer has partnered with Carpenters Group to enable 24/7 reporting with full details captured during the first call, no matter what time it’s made. Vehicle recovery will be organised if required and all details will be shared with AXA to quickly progress the claim.

Leon Wyatt, Head of Commercial Motor Claims Operations, said: “We want to ensure our customers get the best possible service, no matter what time they choose to contact us. This new partnership enables us to provide 24/7 support and immediately capture all the information so the claim can be processed without delay.”

Enhanced risk management for fleets

AXA Insurance UK has enhanced its commercial fleet risk management proposition with new services for SMEs, mini-fleet and larger fleet customers.

The insurer launched a free fleet risk checking service for small and medium-sized businesses in March 2024. This has now been upgraded to an online platform that captures detailed information through a Q&A that is reviewed by the newly created in-house fleet team.

After completing the Fleet Risk Review, customers receive a report highlighting key risks and gaps in compliance, proposing practical ways these can be addressed.

For larger fleets, the new in-house team – comprising industry professionals who have held senior roles in some of the UK’s biggest fleets – will offer tailored support and guidance, sharing their many years of experience and expertise.
