Markerstudy Wins EcoVadis Gold Medal

The latest win for Markerstudy;

Markerstudy Group has been awarded an EcoVadis Gold medal, moving the insurance service provider into the top 5% of companies assessed worldwide. The medal represents a strong improvement on last year’s result, with the organisation’s score increasing from 74 (Silver) to 80 (Gold).

“This fantastic result reflects the hard work happening across multiple teams in the business,” said Tom Williams, Markerstudy’s group head of sustainable business strategy, “and shows how our day-to-day decisions and actions are adding up to something meaningful.

“For our customers, this matters. It helps build trust and confidence that they’re dealing with an organisation that acts responsibly, makes ethical decisions and is focused on the long term – not just short-term gains. In short, it reassures our customers that we’re a business they can rely on, one that’s committed to doing the right thing now and in the future.”

Markerstudy performed strongly across all areas of its scorecard, with scores increasing in every theme. The group made the greatest progress in Environment (moving from 80 to 88), closely followed by Labour & Human Rights (72 to 78) and Ethics (70 to 76).

To emphasise its continued commitment to realising its sustainable ambitions, Markerstudy has just published its 2025 Sustainability Report, highlighting the progress the group has made over the last12 months.

Initiatives detailed in the report and recognised by EcoVadis include:

·         Clear and well-established policies across environment people and ethics

·         Strong achievements on the ground, from energy use and waste reduction to colleague training and wellbeing activities

·         Solid reporting and governance, with external verification and clear tracking of progress

·         External commitments to bodies such as Science Based Targets Initiative and the UN Global Compact

Markerstudy became a signatory to the United Nations Global Compact in January 2026, reaffirming its focus on doing business responsibly and creating long-term value for its colleagues, customers and communities.

The UN Global Compact provides a universal language for corporate responsibility and a practical framework that helps organisations commit to, implement, measure and communicate their sustainability strategy. By joining, Markerstudy has clearly aligned itself with internationally recognised standards that support sustainable growth and resilience.

Looking ahead, Tom commented: “While our EcoVadis Gold medal is a fantastic milestone, there’s always more to do. The scorecard gives us a clear view of where we can go further, and we’ll use that to keep improving what we do.”
