New Specialist MGA From Mission

The latest new thinking from mission for you;
MISSION, the MGA Capital Partner, has launched Trevanti, a specialist surety MGA based in France, led by CEO Jean Lowe. This is MISSION’s first MGA in Continental Europe, marking an important milestone in its international expansion and further strengthening its growing portfolio of specialist underwriting businesses.
Ross Dingwall, CEO of MISSION International, said: “Europe is primed for growth in the MGA market. Many product lines and distribution channels remain fractured across European markets, creating opportunities for specialist MGAs to deliver tailored propositions. As our first MGA in Continental Europe, Trevanti highlights the growing appeal of our platform for underwriters looking to build high-quality businesses.”
Built by a team of experienced surety specialists, Trevanti has been created to simplify broker access to a fragmented market. The MGA will provide a single entry point for a broad range of surety products, combining traditional construction bonds with specialist commercial, legal and regulatory bond classes that are often underserved by the market.
Jean Lowe ACII, CEO of Trevanti, said: “France is one of Europe’s largest and most resilient surety markets, but brokers still face unnecessary complexity by having to navigate multiple providers when placing business across different bond classes. Trevanti will address that challenge directly by bringing together experienced underwriting, broad product knowledge and fast decision-making in one place. By combining our expertise with MISSION’s infrastructure, we will deliver the responsive, disciplined underwriting that brokers need.”
Jean Lowe has close to 20 years’ experience across international surety and financial guarantees. He has held roles in MGAs, carriers, and government institutions, including UK Export Finance and leading French broker Verspieren. Most recently, he was Senior Underwriter at Accelerant, where he managed the European surety portfolio.
Jean Lowe is supported by Adama Samake, Head of Surety Underwriting, and Christine Maksic, Senior Underwriter. Adama Samake has over 30 years of experience in underwriting, distribution, and product development, including senior roles at CEGC/Natixis and Atradius.
Christine Maksic brings more than 20 years’ experience as a surety and financial guarantees underwriter, with particular expertise in large and complex accounts. She previously held roles at CEGC/Natixis and Atradius.
Trevanti will target construction bond business, including performance and completion, advance payment, retention and maintenance, and bid and tender bonds. Its commercial and specialist bond offering will include cover for regulated professionals, legal and customs requirements, environmental and agricultural guarantees, and import and export.
