The latest update from Copart for you;
Global leader in online vehicle remarketing and recycling Copart UK has become the first UK salvage operator to achieve government-backed DVSA Earned Recognition Vehicle Operator status.
The UK government-backed Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA) scheme recognises operators that demonstrate exemplary compliance with vehicle and driver standards. The milestone follows a long-term programme of work that began when Copart UK set Earned Recognition as a strategic goal in 2021.
Since then, the company’s Transport, Operations, Compliance, HR and IT teams have worked together to refine systems and processes and ensure that vehicles and drivers consistently meet the required standards. Operating an owned and branded transport fleet of over 500 vehicles, the company recognises its responsibility to customers and the communities it serves and is proud to be leading the industry in transport safety and compliance standards.
Commenting on the achievement, Phil Briggs, Director of Operation Centres, Transport and Engineering at Copart UK, said: “Achieving DVSA Earned Recognition is more than just a badge – it’s a huge milestone for Copart UK and is testament to the truly outstanding teamwork and collaboration across our business.
“This recognition demonstrates to our customers, insurers, partners and the wider industry that we are committed to continuous improvement, strong compliance, and the highest standards of safety and performance.” Copart UK will regularly share compliance, safety and performance data, providing assurance that its fleet continues to meet DVSA standards.
