ERGO NEXT Insurance, the digital-first small business insurer, has announced the launch of an AI property inspection tool, that transforms the traditionally lengthy and manual inspection process, making it faster and easier for small business owners to get the protection they need.
Entrepreneurs can now use the self-service inspection tool to complete and submit commercial property insurance inspections in about 15 minutes. Using vision AI, the technology provides real-time guidance, giving entrepreneurs a faster, more flexible path to tailored commercial property coverage for their business.
Despite being a critical part of the insurance process, commercial property insurance inspections traditionally require business owners to wait five to 10 days for a manual field inspector to conduct an on-site visit. ERGO NEXT is challenging that outdated model by putting the process directly into the hands of the business owner, allowing them to complete an inspection by themselves, on their own schedule, in about 15 minutes.

AI efficiencies allow ERGO NEXT to expand access to commercial property coverage while helping both the company and its customers save time spent on inspections.
The launch builds on ERGO NEXT’s broader investment in AI-native insurance experiences that simplify how entrepreneurs access business insurance with less time and effort. It also marks the first feature development jointly sponsored by ERGO NEXT and the ERGO Group, the primary insurance arm of Munich Re, since its acquisition in 2025.
The collaboration combines ERGO NEXT’s digital-first approach with ERGO’s global insurance expertise and scale to support continued product and technology innovation.
