The latest update from Mphasis for you;
Mphasis, (BSE: 526299; NSE: MPHASIS), a global AI-led, platform-driven technology solutions provider, today announced the official validation of its near-term and net-zero greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions reduction targets by SBTi Services. This marks an important milestone in Mphasis’ commitment to addressing climate change through science-based emissions reduction targets.
Mphasis aims to reduce emissions across its operations and value chain, with defined goals for both near-term and long-term reductions with FY 2024-25 as baseline year. These targets cover Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions, as well as Scope 3 emissions across relevant activities in its value chain, establishing measurable milestones towards the company’s net-zero ambition.
Mphasis’ validated targets include:
- Net-zero target: To achieve net-zero greenhouse gas emissions across its value chain by FY 2050
- Near-term targets:
-
- To reduce absolute Scope 1 and Scope 2 GHG emissions by 66.01% by FY 2036 from FY 2025 base year
- To reduce Scope 3 GHG emissions from purchased goods and services, capital goods, fuel- and energy-related activities, business travel, employee commuting and upstream leased assets by 66.33% per USD value added within the same timeframe.
- Long-term targets:
- To reduce absolute Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions by 90.0% by FY 2050 from a baseline year FY 2025
- To reduce Scope 3 GHG emissions by 97.0% per unit value added (economic intensity) within the same timeframe.
“We believe climate action requires collective commitment from organisations, and it remains an important priority for us. The validation of our targets by SBTi Services is a significant milestone in our sustainability journey and strengthens our resolve to embed environmental responsibility into the way we operate, grow and build capabilities, while steadily advancing our long-term climate commitments,” said Deepa Nagraj, Senior Vice President & Global Head – ESG, Sparkle Innovation Ecosystem, and Communications, Mphasis.
The validation of Mphasis’ targets supports its ambition to achieve net-zero greenhouse gas emissions across its value chain by FY 2050. The company continues to pursue its commitment to achieve carbon neutrality across its facilities and operations by FY 2030, with renewable sources already meeting 57.82% of its total energy needs.
Mphasis’ sustainability efforts have also received external recognition, including a Silver Medal from EcoVadis, placing it among the top 15% of assessed companies, and an improved CRISIL Core ESG score of 73 in FY 2026, up from 69 in the previous assessment. The company remains focused on strengthening its environmental, social and governance practices alongside its business priorities.
