StrataLens Joins Insurtech UK Association

StrataLens Ltd, the London-based company building a data layer for the London insurance market, has joined Insurtech UK, the trade association for the UK’s insurance technology sector. Here are the details FYI;

StrataLens connects the systems and files a London Market firm already runs, including policy administration records, bordereaux, broker submissions and claims feeds, into one governed record aligned to the Lloyd’s Market Association’s MRC v3 standard. Every field in that record is traceable to its source. The firm’s own rules are applied in plain English, and the record is delivered onward in whatever format each counterparty needs. The platform works inside Microsoft Teams and replaces nothing a firm already uses.

The company is starting with managing general agents and the bordereaux they report to their capacity providers, a monthly process that still depends on spreadsheets and re-keying across much of the market.

Fahim Kamboo, founder and chief executive of StrataLens, said: “Every firm in this market has already built the integration at least once, for one counterparty, in one format. We let them build it once more and never again. The record becomes the asset and the pipes become disposable. Joining Insurtech UK puts us alongside the people who are changing how this market runs its data, and we are looking forward to working with its members.”

Announcing the membership in its newsletter and on LinkedIn on 30 October, Insurtech UK described StrataLens as “a data layer for the London insurance market” that connects its sources “into one governed, MRC v3-aligned record with field-level lineage, inside Microsoft Teams, without replacing anything you already run.”

StrataLens holds Cyber Essentials, Cyber Essentials Plus and IASME Cyber Assurance Level 1, all certified in October 2026, and publishes its certification status, data handling and sub-processors at stratalens.co.uk/trust. It offers London Market firms a fixed-fee, eight-week founding pilot on their own files.

Fahim Kamboo has spent twenty years in London Market operations and integration, including five years running API integrations at Placing Platform Limited (PPL). StrataLens will attend Insurtech UK’s Partnerships Day on 12 November.
