RSA, one of the UK’s leading commercial insurers, has launched its Broker Leader Programme for the fourth-year running by welcoming on board a new cohort of 10 up-and-coming brokers.
The intensive seven-month programme is CPD accredited by the Chartered Insurance Institute. It enables 10 future leaders from some of RSA’s key broking partners to take part in management and leadership training, tailored specifically for the general insurance market.
The course is designed to support the individuals in their careers, helping to equip them with strong skills in areas such as strategy, business planning, HR, talent management and financial management.
Each broker is partnered with a different member of the RSA leadership team who mentors them and acts as a supportive sounding board throughout the course. To ensure the programme is entirely relevant and practical, each candidate brings into the programme a live project from their brokerage. They continue to work on this business issue, applying the skills they learn from the programme in real time. The programme runs until April 2019 when the brokers will present their business plans for feedback and support by a panel consisting of RSA executives as well as a sponsor from their own broking firm.
This year’s RSA Broker Leader Programme group includes:
· Nick Ellis – Alan & Thomas Insurance
· Laura Davies – Aston Lark
· Allan Wheeldon – Towergate
· Philippa Leake – Towergate
· Paul Worton – Jelf
· Marsha Matthew – SEIB
· Paul Huntley – Erskine Murray
· Amy King – Basil Fry
· Joe Perry – Sutton Wilson
· Emma Tidesley – Howden
