Open GI has confirmed a new partnership with specialist property and liability MGA, Arkel Underwriting. The collaboration sees Arkel’s home product, Adapt Home, become available for Open GI customers.
Kris Lee, Arkel Underwriting’s Chief Underwriting Officer, said: “We are delighted to be strengthening our distribution capability with Open GI. The partnership has allowed us to immediately broaden our market reach for Adapt Home and already the opportunities OGI has brought for us are impressive.
“Adapt Home is one of our new flexible home insurance products. It helps brokers place different, challenging home risks that can be sometimes difficult to write. By joining forces with Open GI, brokers are able to use our product with ease and deliver a solution to their clients which means their home risk needs are met.”
Launched earlier in May, Arkel’s Adapt Home product offers brokers the opportunity to write both standard and non-standard risks for all types of properties. It is completely adaptable, so when the risk changes, the policy flexes too.
Open GI’s Group CEO, Simon Badley, added: “Consumers want more choice when it comes to selecting home insurance. They want to see a range of products and the fact that Arkel has this product is a fantastic option for the broking community to offer more choice. I am delighted we are working with Kris and the rest of the Arkel team to support the distribution of Adapt Home. As a software partner we want to ensure that with our technology we can distribute more and enable more choice for the industry.
“Currently we have over 150 integrations with a variety of first-class partners for our customers. Our future plans involve growing our connectivity network even further to ensure everyone has access to continuous choice across all lines of business.”
