After the Easter break it’s back to the latest senior level appointments round up. Lots to get through this week, so this post will be updated later today by the way;

APEX GROUP

Apex Group Ltd (“Apex Group”), a global financial services provider with over $3.5 trillion in assets serviced, today announced the appointment of Jamie MacLeod as Executive Chair of the Apex Foundation and Apex Wealth.

In this role, Jamie will help shape the strategic direction of Apex WealthTech, an AI-powered platform designed to unlock access to private markets for retail investors, while guiding the continued development of the Apex Foundation.

Jamie brings more than 30 years of leadership experience across wealth, investment management and social enterprise. He previously served as CEO of Bordier UK for 14 years and earlier was the founding CEO of Skandia Investment Group the £50 billion international investment firm. He has also held CEO/MD roles at Investec Asset Management and Scottish Widows.

MCLARENS

Global claims services provider McLarens has announced a series of EMEA leadership appointments as the business continues to build on strong regional momentum and prepares for its next phase of expansion in FY27, which commenced on 1 April 2026.

Effective 1 April, Louise Butcher will join the EMEA Senior Management Board as Executive Director. Since joining McLarens three years ago, she has built a rapidly expanding Forensic Accounting capability across EMEA, establishing significant cross-market opportunities and contributing to the firm’s broader strategic development. Louise will continue to lead Forensic Accounting across the region while assuming executive responsibility for selected strategic initiatives and growth programmes.

COFACE

Coface, a global player in trade credit risk management, has appointed Darren Chan as Country Manager for Malaysia and Head of Philippines, effective 1 April 2026.

Darren is responsible for the overall business and company’s strategic direction in both Malaysia and Philippines. He reports to Hugh Burke, Chief Executive Officer, Asia Pacific, Coface.

Since joining Coface in 2016, Darren has established a strong track record across key markets in the region. Prior to his current appointment, he was the Head of Commercial of Coface Japan. He is a highly experienced and respected commercial leader, having held similar roles in Hong Kong, China, and Malaysia, demonstrating strong leadership and a deep understanding of diverse business environments.

Coface also announces the appointment of Carmen Chow as Head of Commercial for Hong Kong, effective 1 April 2026.

Carmen is responsible for strengthening Coface’s commercial performance strategy and deepening client engagement in the Hong Kong market. She reports to Chris Murphy, Chief Executive and General Manager (Hong Kong), and Peter Solomon, Chief Commercial Officer, Asia Pacific Region, Coface.

Carmen brings more than a decade of sales and leadership experience across the trade, finance, and insurance sectors. She joined Coface in 2021 and most recently served as Head of Account Management for CGS Japanese Solutions, where she drove strategic retention planning and new business development, and steered key migration initiatives across the portfolio. She has also held leadership roles at companies including Itochu, Asahi, and SMFL.

AXA XL

AXA XL has appointed Poonam Jivram as Head of Motor Underwriting, UK & Lloyd’s. Based in London, she started her new role on 1st April.  

Ms. Jivram will be responsible for developing and executing the strategic underwriting direction for the UK & Lloyd’s, Motor Fleet insurance business, driving profitable growth, and strengthening relationships with brokers and clients. She will also play a key role in developing new products that meet the requirements of a rapidly changing and evolving motor industry.

MAPFRE RE

The Board of Directors of Mapfre Re has approved the appointment of Fernando Utrilla Agüero as Chief Financial Officer (CFO), as part of the succession process following the upcoming retirement of Daniel Quermia.

With this appointment, Mapfre Re strengthens its financial structure and ensures continuity in its roadmap, leveraging Utrilla’s knowledge of the business and his career within the Group.

Miguel Rosa, CEO of Mapfre Re, stated: “Daniel has made a decisive contribution to the Company’s development and consolidation, always standing out for his professional rigor, commitment, and strong service-oriented approach. Fernando takes on this responsibility at a key moment and brings extensive experience and deep knowledge of the business; we have full confidence that he will continue contributing to the growth and strength of Mapfre Re.”

MONY GROUP

MONY Group plc has hired Ben Mancini as its Head of Technology, leading key products including mobile for MoneySavingExpert, MoneySuperMarket and Quidco; MoneySuperMarket’s SuperSaveClub; and Savings by MoneySuperMarket.

This is a newly created role, reflecting the Group’s ever-increasing focus on mobile, as the MoneySavingExpert, MoneySuperMarket and Quidco apps continue to mature.

Ben has over 20 years’ experience working across enterprise, startups and SME, in sectors such as FinTech, infrastructure and advertising. He joins MONY Group from Amazon where he led engineering for the Brand Innovation lab across the EMEA and APAC regions, building out platforms and advertising campaigns for some of the largest brands in the world.

NORTON ROSE FULBRIGHT

Global law firm Norton Rose Fulbright has announced that Dr. Stephanie Pantelidaki has joined the firm as partner (non-legal) and Head of Transfer Pricing for EMEAPAC, based in London.

Stephanie is an economist and joins the firm from Baker McKenzie, where she was a partner in the tax team. She was previously a leading transfer pricing partner at PwC.

Stephanie brings broad experience in advising multinational clients across a wide range of sectors, with a particular emphasis on financial services. She regularly advises on transfer pricing planning and disputes, advance pricing agreements with tax authorities, mutual agreement procedures under double tax treaties, financial transactions, transfer pricing documentation and, more recently, AI in tax services.

CHUBB

Chubb Limited (NYSE: CB) today announced that Kevin Rampe has been named Senior Vice President, Chubb Group, Global Claims Officer, responsible for global claims management. The appointment is effective immediately. Rampe will also retain his responsibilities as Head of North America Claims.

In his expanded role, Rampe will lead the company’s claims organization globally and be responsible for all aspects of executive claims management, service and administration for Chubb through its worldwide network of claims offices.

He will report to Evan G. Greenberg, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Chubb Limited & Chubb Group and John Keogh, President and Chief Operating Officer, Chubb Group, and in his North America capacity to Juan Luis Ortega, Executive Vice President, Chubb Group, President, North America Insurance.

ARCH INSURANCE

Arch Insurance UK Regional Division today announced the promotion of Mark McGrady to Head of Casualty – UK Regional Division, effective immediately.

In this role, he is responsible for leading the expansion of Arch’s casualty portfolio across its UK regional network, leading the underwriting strategy, product development and distribution of its casualty solutions. Based in Glasgow, he reports to Stuart Danskin, Director of Underwriting, UK Regional Division.

McGrady brings almost 20 years of insurance market experience to the role. He joined Arch in 2022 and was most recently Liability Underwriting Manager – UK Regions. Prior to this, he held commercial underwriting roles at Chapman and Stacey Limited, LV= and Aviva.

AXA

AXA Insurance UK has appointed Martin Milliner as Chief Claims Transformation Officer, a new role in CEO Jon Walker’s executive committee following the creation of the general insurance business AXA Insurance UK. Most recently Martin held the position of Managing Director of Claims at Direct Line Group (DLG) where he led the Motability partnership, DLG Legal Services and DL Auto Services, and had responsibility for the business’ 5,000 claims handlers.

Prior to DLG, Martin was Claims Director at LV=/Allianz Personal for 18 years. He starts with the business on 13 April.

AXA UK & Ireland has also appointed Caroline Riddy as General Counsel, replacing Emily Coupland who left in December after 24 years working across AXA’s various UK entities.

Caroline joins AXA UK & Ireland on 7 April and brings over 20 years of legal and company secretariat experience in financial services. She most recently worked at Lloyds Banking Group as Company Secretary for the insurance, pensions & investments division, overseeing governance for more than 70 legal entities. Caroline is returning to AXA UK & Ireland, having previously spent 12 years in company secretary and counsel roles with the insurer between 2012 and 2024.

MARKEL

Markel, the insurance operations within the Markel Group Inc. (NYSE: MKL) announces the appointment of Lee Dainty as its new Chief Operations Officer for its UK business, effective 7th April 2026. The appointment reflects the current growth trajectory of Markel’s UK business and its continued investment in building a people-first, service-led operating model.

In this newly created role, Dainty will lead the continued pursuit of operational excellence for Markel in the UK, elevating the way brokers and customers are served and ensuring continued investment.  Working across functional areas and in close partnership with Markel’s global business units, Dainty will shape the next phase of Markel’s operational, data, and technology journey in the UK.  This includes strengthening operational resilience and ensuring the business stays ahead of evolving customer needs in a fast-moving market during a period of significant growth.

BROWN AND BROWN

 Brown & Brown (Europe) is pleased to announce the appointment of Peter Jackson as Director of Talent Acquisition. In his new role, Peter will lead Brown & Brown (Europe)’s talent acquisition strategy, partnering with leaders across the business to support continued growth and capability building.

Peter joins Brown & Brown from Hanover, where he was a Partner in the Financial Services practice, leading senior executive search projects across EMEA Insurance and P&C Specialty. With more than two decades of executive search experience, he specialises in senior appointments across finance, risk, technology, operations and regulatory functions within the global insurance market.

LIBERTY

Liberty Specialty Markets (Liberty), part of Liberty Mutual Insurance Group, has announced the appointment of Winsee Cheung to divisional director, delegated authority practice, effective 07 April 2026. Cheung will head the unit in Liberty’s UK & MENA region, as a part of its underwriting leadership team alongside the other divisional directors.  The directors provide direction and priorities for their division, with a clear focus on the needs of clients and brokers.

Cheung will report directly to Henry Nelson, chief underwriting officer, UK & MENA, and will be responsible for the effective running of the integrated business unit to maintain and deliver underwriting integrity, profitability and elite cycle management. Joining from Marsh, Cheung has significant leadership experience and in broad portfolio solutions, with 25 years in the industry.

VERNON BUILDING SOCIETY

Vernon Building Society has appointed Damien Sabbaghe as Intermediary Business Development Manager, strengthening its intermediary mortgage proposition for brokers across England and Wales.

Damien joins the Greater Manchester-based mutual as the new ‘in-the-field’ BDM with a remit to grow its national broker network. Based in central England, he will enable the Vernon to expand its geographical footprint beyond the North West into the southern belt.

Damien brings 20 years of financial services experience, having started as a mortgage advisor and then spending over 15 years in the intermediary mortgage space, most recently at Coventry Building Society. His track record supporting major brokerages with complex cases matches the Vernon’s flexible, customer-led approach.

SANTAM SYNDICATE 1918

Santam Syndicate 1918 (“the Syndicate”), part of Santam Group (“Santam”), Africa’s largest non-life insurer announces the appointment of Nigel Tatlock as Head of Property.

Nigel brings more than 40 years of industry experience to the role, including over 15 years at Liberty Specialty Markets where he most recently served as Head of Worldwide Property, and a recognised market leader providing timely solutions to brokers and clients. His previous roles include Head of London D&F property at XL Re and Senior Underwriter at Wren Syndicates (now Brit).

This appointment is the next significant step for the Syndicate as it continues to develop its offering at Lloyd’s and continues to grow its team. Nigel will lead the development of a dynamic and market-leading property underwriting team, to build a global property book that includes US and international markets on both an open market and binder distribution basis.

ROKSTONE

Rokstone, the International Specialty (Re)Insurance MGA, has recently announced the appointment of Jackie Lan to the role of Underwriter in its Singapore team.  This is the latest key underwriting appointment made by the expansive Rokstone – the region’s first Marine MGA covering all Marine products.

Jackie joins Rama Chandran and the team following the completion of her notice period at QBE Asia, where she currently serves as Senior Hull Underwriter. She brings 15 years of experience in the marine industry, including more than a decade specialising in Marine Hull and Liability insurance. Based in Singapore and having worked across regional and international markets, she combines strong local insight with a global perspective, supported by extensive experience across Asia and the Middle East, and well-established relationships with both local and international brokers.

PRICE FORBES

Price Forbes Singapore announces the appointment of Rajiv Ramakrishnan as Head of Accident & Health (A&H). He takes up the role with immediate effect and will report directly to Dick Heath, Head of Reinsurance and Wholesale.

In his new role, Rajiv will be responsible for developing the Price Forbes A&H offering in Southeast Asia and APAC. His appointment comes at a time of growing pressure on A&H insurers across APAC, with medical inflation outpacing general inflation alongside sustained post-pandemic demand for A&H products. His primary goal will be to help fill cedants’ coverage gaps in their A&H portfolios, including supporting carriers to launch new primary products across critical illness, lump-sum, travel and other A&H lines.

MARSH

Marsh (NYSE: MRSH), a global leader in risk, reinsurance and capital, people and investments, and management consulting, has announced Ted Moynihan will become President and CEO of Marsh Management Consulting and Oliver Wyman, succeeding Nick Studer, who has been appointed President and CEO of Marsh Risk. Mr. Moynihan will serve on the company’s Executive Committee and report to John Doyle, President and CEO of Marsh. Mr. Moynihan’s appointment is effective tomorrow, and he will continue to be based in London.

Commenting on the appointment, Mr. Doyle said, “Ted brings extensive leadership experience and a proven track record of driving transformation and growth in the consulting sector. His deep expertise advising clients on complex business opportunities and challenges makes him the ideal leader to guide the continued success of Marsh Management Consulting and Oliver Wyman and contribute to our vision of making Marsh the most impactful professional services firm in the world.”

FORBES SOLICITORS

Senior regulatory lawyer Stephen Barnfield has joined Forbes Solicitors, as the firm expands its capacity amid growing demand in response to tightening health and safety laws.

Stephen joins Forbes Solicitors as a partner, following almost two decades at Hill Dickinson. He has previously advised public sector organisations, local authorities, high-profile individuals, multinationals and SMEs on a range of complex regulatory matters. This has included corporate manslaughter and professional disciplinary proceedings, as well as critical safety hazards and alleged breaches of the Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974.

SPECIALTY MGA

Specialty MGA, part of MNK Group, has appointed Uwe Sievers as Director, Business Development Japan, to lead the growth of its dedicated Japanese market proposition. The appointment recognises the importance of the Japanese market as the Group continues to expand globally, develop new international capabilities, and is now deepening and growing its connections with local insurers, brokers, and corporates in Japan.
Uwe brings close to four decades of experience with HDI, where he began as a property underwriter, including almost 30 years in Japan as Managing Director and Legal Representative. A seasoned professional in the market, he was responsible for the expansion of all business lines, the development of long-term strategic planning, and driving the overall growth of the Japanese operation.
